One in four????

I believe NONE of the garbage the CDC tells me.

It is outrageous that "officials" expect little girls will naturally be sexualy active, so we must "protect them" with this vaccine - the long term side effects of which are yet unknown.

Idiots here in Texas tried to push this through with legislation REQUIRING parents to force these shots on our girls.

Hell no. That got shot down in a hurry.

I don't see the barf here.
I do not support requirements of this vaccine. I also despise cancer with a passion losing several family members to that disease. If this can prevent cancer, I don't see the problem with this as an option.

To me, this isn't the same thing as passing out rubbers.

Vaccinations don't work if you wait until after the person is exposed. At age 11 we can reasonably expect that extremely few girls are sexually active. You can't make that same assumption at age 15 or 17.

I really don't see what's so outrageous about expecting that girls will be sexually active. They always have been and humans would be extinct if they weren't.

as long as girls and boys go to the same coed school and immersed in this oversexualized popular culture and have no problems with kissing and touching, you have to expect that at least some of them will ignore everything their parents teach them and give in.

So long as it isn’t required I don’t see the problem. I highly doubt that high school girls will go out and have sex just because they had a vaccine. It won’t change their behavior a bit and could save them from a nasty disease. I’d have my daughter do it.

FYI, I am married to my one and only, and he is married to his one and only, in every sense.

I still got the vaccine (one of the first to do so). There is always rape. Cervical cancer is one of the ugliest ways to go, and one of the most painful conditions out there, and if it can be prevented... heck yes. Just like with the Hep shots... even if you live a very clean life it can be all over if you step on a dirty needle at the beach.

This is an outrage, to endanger the lives of every girl in the country for the sake of Drug pusher’s profits.

The death rate for the vaccine already exceeds the cancer rate for cervical papiloma by two orders of magnitude. This is first degree murder.

Hard to believe that many got the jab. This is a hugely expensive optional vaccine that requires three separate shots.

Merck is going to be in a lot of trouble in the future from this vaccine, I believe. And any government/school entity that required it. (PS there are always exemptions parents can take, but they are never told that.)

This generation of young girls is being used as guinea pigs. We have no idea what the effects of this vaccine will be on their fertility or health in ten to twenty years.

This is another ploy from the liberals who want to allow our teenagers to turn into sexual maniacs. First they brought sex education and homosexuality-friendly agendas into the schools and now this. Next they will require all teenage girls to get birth control shots. You mark my words!

Not everyone’s daughter whores around. I would teach my daughter morals and self respect. I would never allow my daughter to get this. You may as well like giving her permission to date the football team.

So here's a suggestion: when you take your 10-year old daughter in to get the Gardasil shot, why not just tell her she is getting a vitamin shot? Do you have to say "Ok sweetie, I'm vaccinating you against HPV so you can go out and bang every guy in town now".

I know few children who even understand the concept of a vaccine, much less understand what vaccine they are getting (tell them it's for dengue fever).

Is the “barf” supposed to cue us all how to think?

Just curious.
