More or less. I really hope we can step back in 10 years and say, “Did the party supposedly made up of conservatives REALLY push for nationalization?”

It’s completely and utterly ridiculous.

>>>And how has that fence been doing?

Chertoff and Kay Huchison redirected the funds for the physical fence to the virtual fence. When that investigation is complete and if the monies are redirected back to finish the physical fence, then I’ll update you.

But it has been doing just fine in San Diego County.

Here in PA a longtime Green Party lawyer who is a member of the National Lawyers Guild (a real Communist front organization that goes back to the “McCarthy Era”) ended up being the Libertarian candidate for Attorney General.

If Ron Paul would admit that there is a serious global Islamic threat and propose a way to fight it rather standing around than hoping for the best, maybe people would vote for him.

Well said. I think this is what doomed him with rank-and-file GOP supporters in the primaries. He also had a gloomy outlook on things - no sunny disposition like Reagan had.

On economic policy and limited government though, he's a white knight in shining armor. He predicted all of this financial mischief coming home to roost since the 1970s.

Look, I’m not against a fence. I just saw it as a way for the Republicans to get us off their backs. If they were serious they would have come up with real solutions. More border patrol, more national guard, an end to welfare for illegals, etc.

Yea well so was McCain and Bush on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac..... lots of people were right about that. Only point of interest there, is the the Democrats across the board were wrong, in fact were PAID to continue the practices that got us here. So want to get snarky then please target the correct people please.

Has McCain even mentioned the CRA? Right now, of course, he is pushing his own version of the CRA through his mortgage bailout.

So, just what has Ron Paul said? I haven’t seen anyone post what he said on Fox.

Yes, all this Dawn of the Dead chatter is deafening. I refuse to qualify myself as either a hater or lover of Rep. Paul in order to have a genuine interest in what he has to say. I turn to FoxN and there's Richard Branson, who's admittedly better than a Hollyweird celebrity, advocating for free markets

Re-Max is telling me "there's no better time than now to find a new home."- That's interesting. I guess it's a buyer's market.

So, how 'bout it? Someone please tell me what Dr. Paul had to say. If you wait for a Lame Media source to cut and paste we'll never know what he had to say. It will be deleted from history by omission.

(WE are the media!)

Again, McCain did call for regulation of Fannie and Freddie but to say he was “right” is an exaggeration. Unlike Paul, he never addressed the root the problem: the treasury credit line to those institutions. Those who called for more regulation were dealing with symptoms. Our problems are much deeper than that.

“As a kid, I was my Dad’s remote. He’d tell me to go change the channel...luckily we only had 3 channels at the time!”

Yes, I remember those days, myself. Only 3 channels. LOL...just goes to show you it’s true. God won’t put anymore on us than we can handle.

“I think Ron needs a cabinet position.”

Me too. Do we let him out to use the bathroom, or just shove a bucket in there with him?

Ron is wrong here—the world is dangerous and somebody must keep order because the UN is part of the problem. Also, remember that those positions, soldiers, represent jobs, and their equipment is produced in the US also representing jobs, and much of the money earned stays in the US.

You may want to read up on the Fence Act before you speak on it. It was not a ‘political bone’. It was Duncan Hunter’s initiative. He is as hated by the establishment as Ron Paul and he made some of the same hit lists as Ron Paul when he tried to get rid of theh DOE.

The Fence Act was more than for building a fence. It called for more border patrol.

Very true; but he didn’t support the Security Fence Act.

He opposed it over private property right concerns.

The land that straddles the border is held in generations of residents in that area. Now he may have been miguided and still should have supported the fence because of national security, but he still opposed amnesty, anchor baby status, and freebies to illegals. I think that neutralizes his not supporting the fence.
