Hey everyone,
Thanks for your company on this wonderful election night.
It is way past my bedtime, and since I know Stephen Harper is still looking after my country, I can go to bed now. LOL.
Have a wonderful night FRiends.
I would like to have seen what Harper would do with a majority. I was praying hard that he DID have a hidden agenda. LOL
Last summer was my first time on the new TCH driving to Fredericton. Wow. What a change. The great thing is I made it in 45 minutes, no sitting behind semis. The bad part is the beautiful river road scenery is gone. The TCH now is like I-95 between Houlton and Bangor.
Are they smoking crack?
“Still, the Liberals are winning in 76 ridings. Ungh.”
A woman at my work has met him—she worked with the Liberal party and had to entertain him or something all evening. She said he is incredibly dull, LOL!
Why the Liberals did’t pick Ignatieff is beyond me. The man is absolutely brilliant—I saw him speaking here in Aylmer and some woman asked him an obscure question. His answer was not only thorough, he delved effortlessly into a discussion of the Constitution. He’s amazing, and I talked about him so much after meeting him that my husband accused me of having a crush on him, LOL!
I'll have to check it out. Thanks.

I think this is foreshadowing to the US election. The final weeks the media is going to say it is a nail biter with Obama up by 3 and then Obama will get crushed in a landslide.
You can still take the River Road. It’s not as busy now. ;)
Definitely sour grapes!
GBTTNSAF!
It can happen, and did here in Ontario in 1985. Tories finished first, got defeated, and the L-G name David Peterson as Premier. Our constitution, like Britain’s, has the Nike amending formula- “Just do it”.
Old Guy on CBC (on CSPAN in the USA) saying it’s a record low turnout in the 50% range.
HA! 50% turnout in the USA is historically high. Though it’s predicted turnout could be in the 80’s to 90’s in the USA because of ACORN and Obamassiah.
Funniest moment of the night just happened on CTV- Bob Rae pronounced the results “a defeat for Stephen Harper”.
goodnight, fanfan! Thanks for your hard work with these ping. :)

Peter Kent takes Thornhill for the CPC! This is a big breakthrough for the Conservatives in liberal Toronto.
Still, it’s enough that, if we elect The Obama, we’ll be doing a fair amount of shopping across the border as our way of of expressing solidarity with our friends north of the 45.
Yes, indeed. I'll be at the Blue Jackets home opener Friday night. I'm watching them beat San Jose right now.
A lot of NB'ers in the states.
Out of my HS class of 90 graduates, at least a third of them are in the States. I almost married a girl from Woodstock after university, and that would have kept me there. But, it didn't work out and I married a girl from Western Pennsylvania and ended up in Ohio.
I still take the river road in the summer, and cross sometimes on the Gagetown ferry. Spendt many summers over around Grand Lake and French Lake.
If Canada changed its gun laws , I would move home.
