Nice find! And you know Mondale really did do well with those city-dwellers, as will the marxist messiah. But guess what, McCain will still win the electoral vote.

Of course, it works both ways. I’ve been saying the same thing about the Palin’s crowds. Enthusiasm within the “choir” does not equate to election day returns.

Barack drew 100 thousand today in St. Louis.

Breathlessly reported on Fox.

Interesting. 1984. 100,000 people at a Dem rally. Breathlessly reported by the MSM.

Same as it ever was... same as it ever was... same as it ever was...

For a second there, I thought this was new. I was wondering why Ferraro was suddenly campaigning for Barry until I saw the date.

Personally I think that republican crowds are more telling.

Democrats really have that whole cult of personality thing this year. “Followers”. And often we know a band is involved to help bring the crowds.

Republicans have “supporters” not followers.

Conservative thinkers know politicians work for us, far less “worship” going on there.

If Sarah draws large crowds, I think that is more significant. Each person there probably represents way more supporters at home then at a democrat cult gathering.

That's the point, in 84 Mondale/Ferraro drew 100,000 in their voting base, NYC, and in 2004 Obama draws 100,000 in a heavily urban and African-American area St. Louis/East St. Louis.

Fox has gone into the tank for Obama the last 2 weeks. From that pithy negative reaction to McCains debate performance by the Fox All stars, to the posting of outlier polls and constantly editorializing the news reports as...McCain's polls slipping, Obama surging, Obama crowds enthusiastic I feel like we have no voice besides Levin, Beck, Limbaugh and Hannity.

I think yours is the question we should be examining.
Is there any doubt Sarah could gather such a crowd in
Alaska if needed? But why?
