I thought Sarah Palin did more than fine on Saturday Night Live. In particular, during her Weekend Update appearance she displayed a speaking poise and polish exceeding that of any of the other candidates on either ticket. But Republicans who agree to appear on such shows put themselves in the laps of the liberal media gods. And those lesser deities abused their power, choosing to run a nasty joke at Clarence Thomas's expense during Weekend Update shortly before Palin appeared.
The set-up was the fact that, in a dissenting opinion published this past week, Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts employed the writing style of a hard-bitten detective novel. That set up this . . .

Did anyone notices how Baldwin barely looked Gov. Palin in the eye?
That was sorta weird, but considering he has a sense of humor I am sure he laughed along. If you wonder if Thomas will lose his job over this, he will not. He is in for life. Which makes it even less worrisome.
He didn’t bother to even look at his lines beforehand, and read his witty dialogue off the prompter.......like his hero!
Why should he. I don't think he supports her for Vice President. I think he is for Biden. According you your question, if I see Obama and he talks to me, I have to look in his eyes? No thanks. I will stare ahead like Baldwin did. When ever I have a question about what somebody does, I always put myself in their position talking with someone I don't support. It makes life much easier.

Tha’ts because he is testicularlly challenged, he can’t step into the arena of ideas and debate his opponents. He would never make it to a “Buckley - Firing Line style” debate with Palin, Steyn, Igraham or Coulter no matter who was with him at his table, his car would have had “igntion troubles”.

I think that Baldwin loathes women especially. Kim Bassinger had to divorce him and we all heard the telephone call he made to his very own teenage daughter. He’s a cruel and sick SOB and I hope he rots in the pits of hell for the evil things that he has said and done.

Yes, and does anyone even KNOW, much less care, where Anita Hill might be? Nope! She was a professor at Oklahoma University Law school, where a special “chair” was created for her by her Dim friends in this state. She performed her job so marginally that we never heard more from her until she left!
For the sake of her future students, I hope she found something to do other than teach!
I hope the Palin segment on SNL gets posted on YouTube because I couldn’t watch the show last night. I tried but it is just so unintelligent and unfunny.
