In my office we never went for the hate crime thing. Crime was crime. Go for that DA/prosecutor.

My wife at dinner had a political altercation with an Obama supporter back during the primaries, former friends who have cut us off from all contact. This is the most divisive election I can remember. It is impossible to discuss facts with these true believers no matter how gingerly you approach the subject and if you avoid the subject they'll start the conversation anyway. My wife does outside sales and had me take the McCain sticker off my truck so she could drive it in Houston without fear. A nation divided cannot stand, so it's going to be a rough four years socially either way I fear. I carry and it's time to get get my wife licensed to carry so she can upgrade from pepper spray. I am telling her to take a look at the business location she is visiting and if it looks unsecure or is in a “bad” neighborhood drive away. Call it red lining if you will, but it's not worth a hassle much less an attack to try to sell people who are so emotionally charged over this Obama messiah thing.

(Of course, I realize the primary purpose of your post was to let us all know that your wife is an instructor at LA Fitness in a shameless attempt to drive up hits on your About page...) HA!
The thing is that before they accidentally trod on politics (Carol told my wife a nasty joke about McCain and my wife patiently explained that she didn't find it funny), they were pretty close in the class. Carol showed up like clockwork and took the front of the class. I am wondering if she had a crush on my wife...
Anyway, my wife is pretty tough (kickboxer), but I still get the willies thinking about it.

And there's absolute no reason in this world to own a "Phillips-head screwdriver" when most screws are flatheads! You can have my Phillips-Head Screwdriver when you pry it from my cold, dead, knuckle-busted hands...

That kind of high-capacity magazine (or “Clip”, as it is known by Law Enforcement) is the exact type of dangerous feature the Assault Screwdriver Ban is designed to eliminate...

Your experience is likely not that uncommon. All elections are divisive, but this much more so than any of the others I've participated in.
McCain is far from the perfect candidate and is far from being conservative enough. However, with his past of walking the aisle between parties, even threatening to switch parties, he just may be the best man for the times.
Normally I would not feel this way, wanting instead an overwhelmingly conservative ticket and not someone who has had such a long history in DC, but in times like these, perhaps that is exactly what is needed. I know the divisiveness and general unrest we see now will be much, much worse if 0bama wins and he, Reid and Pelosi have their way with the country, courts and Constitution.

Carol Anne Burger killed her former lover by stabbing her 222 times with a Phillips-head screwdriver She was just acting out her frustration at being screwed by the bigoted Christian Right, which kept this gentle couple from being married.

more controls needed on Phillips-head screwdrivers. They are far too accessible.

My first thought on hearing that she actually had a handgun is that it was likely only fired once. And that will be proof that “guns kill.”

My wife at dinner had a political altercation with an Obama supporter back during the primaries, former friends who have cut us off from all contact... That should give you pause to be thankful. Long ago, during Clinton's "reign" we decided not to trust Left family members and that has proven beneficial. While they rage and explode out of control, we are clear of them and their behavior. It is truly a mental disorder and that is no joke.
Our lives are much more peaceful, we continue to fight for our conservative candidates and watch our former family/friends go off like skyrockets, it's the one little pleasure we have these days.
Remember: even if they win by a landslide, they will still be deranged and not content until you are silenced completely even if that means having you picked up at 2AM by the "National Security Force but not the military, but larger than the military".

Probably not.

I’m really concerned by the actions of
“0bama’s Volunteer Brownshirt Brigades”.
The concern is - what happens when they get the legitimacy of gov’t power behind them?

I am sorry but I was guilty of this. No excuses but at least I was honest about it:)

This type thing will continue to happen until we ban these cheap, easily bought, pointy tools; otherwise known as “Saturday Night Screwdrivers”. Until we remove these instruments of death from our streets we can expect these types of grisly murders, as well as “drive by screwings”. God help us if they ever get their hands on an awl!

My son works for a major defense contractor and is ragged on by fellow workers for being a Republican. When he tries to explain the Barney Frank 25% military reduction, they simply say—not true, Barry would never do that.
