BOYNTON BEACH — Carol Anne Burger killed her former lover by stabbing her 222 times with a Phillips-head screwdriver and then took pains to hide her crime, police said Wednesday.
Jessica Kalish, who shared a house with Burger despite breaking up with her more than a year ago, was found last Thursday stuffed in the backseat of her gun-metal BMW sedan, abandoned behind a medical office at 2300 S. Congress Avenue. Her blood was splashed around the rear end and undercarriage of the car, as if her killer had tried to load her into the trunk. The circumstances of her death remain unclear; police believe she may have taken her own life after learning that her roommate - and former partner - had been found dead.

As a former prosecutor I can tell you that this is pretty typical in lesbian murders. Usually the manner of death is stabbing, and the number of wounds is beyond excessive. There is a latent psychological desire to not only kill, but to mutilate and disfigure.
Almost any murder between people who know each other well ends up as overkill in the number of wounds.

Since you have been there, I have to ask. When a homosexual kills a homosexual in this manner, does it rate classification as a "hate crime", or is that special designation only reserved for heterosexuals?

We all need to be reminded, from time to time, that the unhinged Left is very agitated, these days. For many of them, violence is lurking just beneath the surface at all times. Sometimes, it comes bubbling up.
As much fun as it is to needle those MoveOn types that sorely need needlin’, one must be careful to not drive them over the line from irrational, hateful politics into irrational, hateful violence.
(Of course, I realize the primary purpose of your post was to let us all know that your wife is an instructor at LA Fitness in a shameless attempt to drive up hits on your “About” page...)

It's 2:30 a.m. and here I am writing this. Just kill me now. The extreme level of anxiety that many of us are experiencing over this election is serious enough that medical journals, in the near future, will almost certainly give it a name like "Obama Syndrome" or Barack Obsesssive Disorder."
I am heartened that there has been so much discussion of the malady on HuffPost. That's got to be therapeutic for a great many of you. Not me, however. Some great recommendations have been made. Double your meds. Get involved with the campaign so you feel less helpless. Turn off the TV, radio, and political websites. Get back to nature by activities like camping. Your kidding me right? I tried antidepressants and they made me worse. I went from low functionality to comotose. So that's out. I can't get "involved" because I'm lazy. Where are the cures for lazy people? That comment may offend some of you. Sorry, but lazy is a real condition as debilitating as any other mental condition. You can't do anything to stop being lazy because you're too lazy to try anything. It's like the old "just say no" campaign. You might as well ask me to just stop breathing...

Given the tightness of the polls in Florida, I sure hope they didn’t vote absentee.
If we did not have this proliferation of Phillips-Head screwdrivers (or “Assault Screwdrivers”, as they are called by Law Enforcement), this tragedy could have been avoided.
Torx drivers are an acceptable alternative, and do not feature the sharp point, which is a factor in so many drive-by stabbings...
But then it could have been a small caliber phillips instead of a large caliber phillips. Requiring more holes as we all know a large calibers require less holes.
Should we expect anything different from the hardcore lezzie crowd?
In my office we never went for the “hate crime” thing. Crime was crime.

True, but the lesbian murders seemed to go way beyond overkill. It was the release of an unbelievable amount of rage. 222 stab wounds is not surprising. In contrast, I recall a case where a jilted male suitor killed his victim with 55 stab wounds. Excessive, but even he quit at a certain point. The lesbians seem to go at it until they become physically exhausted, and stop only because they just can’t keep going.
