This is right on target. We go into election day with these numbers, we’ll win.

Similarly, among white Catholics, Obama held an 11-point edge over McCain last week and today they split 46-46. Thank you Bishops! Please keep firing away now and this Sunday, hard!

Other polls are showing a tightening today due to the infomercial. So, I have no doubt if Fox has another poll tomorrow, it will push Obama up again.
But, it should be temporary, at least I hope.

I agree. Obama is getting close to the true numbers. He peaked at 49 and he's down to 47%. Sounds about right - that's less than what Kerry got in 2004 and what he'll get come Election Night.

Many of us can take these numbers as some comfort that this is still very doable for McCain.

Approximately 10% undecided?? That leaves JSM with plenty of slack to make up the difference down the stretch...

IBD has it down to O by 1.1%.

Weren't they at like 13% last week? It's all Brit and his 'Allstars' could talk about the night it came out. That was the night I decided I'd had it with those losers and stopped watching them. There was good news that night from Zogby, AP, and others and all they talked about was their poll and some other poll taht seemed to validate their numbers.
The proof that they were running bull sh*t polls is that it's closing right on schedule. I expect this crap from ABCNBCCBS but expected more from Fox. Guess I was wrong.

To hell with all of it-polls, op-eds, etc etc For me it’s simple-it’s sort of like the title of that chick- lit book:
VOTE
PRAY
LOVE (my country)
oh, and LOCK AND LOAD-I’m going to do all of the above
Tuesday at 7 AM, I’ll be in line

An important number in this one is that Obama’s went down to 47% from 49%.
The further he gets away from that 50% number the better it looks for McCain.
I still think the polls are off because they are factoring in a huge differential in Democrat and Republican voters which is crazy. Voters in 2004 37% Republican 37% Democrat 26% Independents
To: Thane_Banquo
Remember something...
This is the same poll that had Kerry WINNING by +2 on 10/31/04....
If these numbers hold, and the independent shift continues, the riots on tuesday and wed. by the Obama worshippers is going to be a SIGHT to behold...

Please vote. Take a relative or friend to the polls with you if you think they will vote for McCain.

From 9% to 3% in a week. Good news, McCain is gaining ground.
Question is: is there enough time to close the deal?

It ain’t over till it’s over!
It had better be close.

One other reason why this poll is important IMO is that Fox News, who have been rather annoying this election, may actually not go too far off the deep end with their talk of the latest polls if their own latest has it this close. And in an election where turnout is the key this can help.

Right on schedule ... just as predicted ...The Holy Pollers need to stay in the news in order to create a demand for their product. The presstitutes (who pay the bills and spread the product) want to see Barry in the lead. The pollsters need to keep a little bit of credibility so people will buy their services in the next election. Put this all together and you get the usual week-before-the-election results:
- Early in week: Dem ahead but Rep makes up significant lost ground to show race getting close.
- Middle of week: Dem gaining but within MOE. Tension mounts -- people must stay tuned in for exciting conclusion.
- End of week: Rep gaining back, but within MOE. What does this mean -- keep buying fish wrap and watching the boob tube.
If the Rat wins: We were right all along!
If the Pubbie wins: We picked the trend; the last minute break of independents which nobody could call gave the final outcome.
In other words, at this stage, the Holy Pollers don't have a clue regarding the actual vote. They're merely hedging their bets.
