And then there's the the possible repercussions to my family, my children and grandchildren. Find a civil rights or employment lawyer. They can get some publicity wit ha press conference or by filing a lawsuit if the company doesn't come to their senses.

Don't waste your time, energy or thoughts on getting an attorney. My understanding of what you wrote is that you voluntarily terminated your employment which was probably the best thing you could have done under the circumstances.
Had you stayed on and had your employer terminated you, they have every right to so with even no reason whatsoever. Ohio is an "Employment at Will" state.
Your employer is history and you are no longer in an ugly environment. Forget about them and move on, there's a heck of a lot better places to work than that.......
