Oh, Wallace gets snotty with Rick Davis: “I’m not David Axelrod so don’t interrupt.”

Little putz.

The vast majority of this country is of a conservative bent. Most of them just don't know it is all.

Brilliant statement here!

Nothing serves to confirm this more than the recent govt. bailout that was soundly rejected by huge numbers of the population. They know socialism/govt. control when they see it and most want no part.

Did any of them run Brokaw's interview with Charlie Rose [video] from October 30, 2008?

ROSE: I don’t know what Barack Obama’s worldview is.

BROKAW: No, I don’t, either.

ROSE: I don’t know how he really sees where China is.

BROKAW: We don’t know a lot about Barack Obama and the universe of his thinking about foreign policy.

ROSE: I don’t really know. And do we know anything about the people who are advising him?

BROKAW: Yeah, it’s an interesting question.

ROSE: He is principally known through his autobiography and through very aspirational (sic) speeches.

BROKAW: Two of them! I don’t know what books he’s read.

ROSE: What do we know about the heroes of Barack Obama?

BROKAW: There’s a lot about him we don’t know.

from Brokaw And Rose: Who Is Obama?

It would appear that Brokaw and his cohorts failed to vet this presidential candidate. And they expect us to still respect and trust them?

Rush Limbaugh, with attorney Mark Levin, would take the Fairness Doctrine to the hightest courts...you can bet on it. One angle I hear bandied about is the "local orgination/local issues" tactic...ie. no/reduced network shows like Rush's. (why it should apply to radio and not TV defies reason)

Broadcast giants would rebel at affectively destroying a huge industry.

In the worst case, all our beloved conservative talk would immediately jump to satelitte where they would remain untouched, but Dems would take an UNBELIEVABLE amount of flak for their attempts.

Look, I don't want to buy something on satellite that is now available for free, but I would in a heartbeat.

How about the rest of us here on FR?

Our local paper is also Gannet owned, yesterday’s headline; “Huge Landslide for Obama”. This is Ohio, we don’t need these predictions.

I heard some pundit or another state that the GOP has a veritable legion of poll watchers on the ground and I cheered lustily.

Nothing is more effective in stopping voter fraud than an alert and ready-to-move opposition party. I poke fun at the GOP from time to time for their tans, thoroughly trained head hairs and polished nails. But the pubs are not stupid and the 2000 Florida race should still be fresh in their minds.

I’m hoping that they’ve saturated Ohio, Penna. and Florida, if nothing else, to keep the dead from voting oncit and the live from voting twicit.

I feel certain, as I prognosticate, that McCain will win Ohio. I think he SHOULD win Penna but they steal that state almost every election.

I hope the pubs have folks everywhere in PA cause by me that state should be McCain’s.

Wallace (in bed with Obama) dares to accuse the GOP of voter fraud, while ignoring the DNC frauds already caught.

FOX is insufferable. Far from "fair and biased".

I think Lowry is trying to keep his career of showing up on talk shows and pontificating on track.

They know socialism/govt. control when they see it and most want no part.

Damn right. And they sure don't want politicians "sharing their wealth" save those who don't work, don't pay taxes and quite enjoy living off of the public teat.

Which, despite the trend, is STILL a minority in this country. Most Americans work hard, harder than anyone on the planet, and don't want the government to go getting involved in those things that should be kept out of the government's way.

You could be exactly right!

I think the Bradley or Wilder effect is definitely in play here. There are probably many voters that for one reason or another be it race, prejudice, etc. etc. they simply will not vote for a Barak Obama and they have successfully eluded polling efforts.

The only thing that has polled so far is that somewhere between 75% and 85% of the Dems are actually supporting Obama for potus. Statisticstas I have seen suggest without at least 90 % they lose every time. Either way we shall see soon.

I think you outlined the situation and what would happen pretty well.

Worst case would be having to buy a satellite radio and I would do that if it becomes the only way to listen.

I gave up on FNS after two minutes. All Wallace wanted to talk about was polls. I will concede the polls are bad. But they are clearly not accurate. Most of the polls lie outside of each others margin of error. That means, by definition, they are not accurate. Something is skewing them. Talking only about polls is like talking only about last weeks weather. It is irrelevant, especially if the thermometer is demonstrably wrong.

Your Rose /Brokaw transcript noted how much they don't know about Obama. I'm sure he flashed on his recent conversation at Chuck Todd just sat across the table from him at the end of MTP and said...'One thing for sure in this campaign is we have learned A LOT about all these candidates' (paraphrased).

Delusional. My despise for Todd is growing daily, and the limited respect I once had for Brokaw is gone.
