Great comment from a PUMA
patriot room ^

I found this post on http://patriotroom.com/?p=3672

GOD BLESS PUMA’s!!!!!

+++++++++++++++++++++++

I sure hope this is true. I’m a PUMA, have given $$ to McCain/Palin (as a former Hillary supporter, I think Sarah Palin is great, and I’m psyched to have a woman on the ticket). I will be voting McCain/Palin on Tuesday along with my son who is a registered Republican. Here in NYC, it’s like spitting into the wind, but it actually wouldn’t surprise me too much if NJ went red. Just a feeling.

Those PA numbers seem all out of whack, though. McCain over Obama by 22 points? Be still, my heart! I believe McPalin have an excellent chance in PA - but 22 points?

If PA and NJ go to McCain, Obama is toast.

No matter what the outcome, the silver lining in this election season has been my newfound respect for Republicans. I used to think you guys were the Devil, and I apologize. It turns out, you’re funny and smart and much more well-informed than most Dems. And you certainly have better spelling and grammar. I’m not switching my D voter registration since we have closed primaries here in NY and there’s not much of an R presence in the local races, but I am post-partisan now. My eyes have been opened by the hijacking of the Dem Party by the Obamacrats. Country before party! Go, McCain-Palin!

I’ve been reading these “My eyes have been opened” at PUMA sites for quite some time. Specifically HRCforum and No Quarter.

As my mother always said, good grammar can win friends and influence people!

This has certainly been a very interesting election season. I have great respect for the PUMA’s.

Thank you PUMAs, for uniting in this common cause, one I believe is noble and worth fighting for. We’re in this together, to the bitter end.

Those numbers are from "the tape"—they're GOP internal polls that an insider leaked an XM Radio talk host middle of last week. "The tape" is getting a lot of buzz on PUMA blogs, because it shows McCain ahead a little in NJ, ahead a lot (that +22) in PA, and trailing by 2 (just 2!) in CA. Yeah, CA, as in deep deep darkest blue California. So take those numbers with a grain of salt, then throw away the numbers and keep the salt.

My guess is that the numbers aren't bogus, but they're also not statewaide polls the way we think of them. Rather, I think they're demographically cherry-picked polls being used by the campaign to evaluate the effect of ads on persuadable voters. PA being +22 for McCain makes no sense to me, but McCain being up +22 looking only at undecided and persuadable voters in PA makes perfect sense.

The numbers are from an audio link at the PatriotRoom site. It is someone calling into a radio station who is supposedly on the internal polls for the GOP.

Now, I saw some poll that had a 20 something up for McCain, but it was in one of the breakdowns by x group. This one was for White males with no college degree and in that group McCain was up by 20 something.

However, there are some polls out there showing the race is within 2 to 6 points in most battleground states. But do NOT sit on the back of your lap! Get out and VOTE, every single vote counts, every single one. Do not do that ‘well, I really don’t feel like it, I’ve had a long day, it’s only one’ THAT ONE VOTE COULD BE THE WINNER! VOTE Think about the long days John McCain and Sarah Palin have had and continue to have through tomorrow, if they can do it, surely you can take a little longer day!

I love PUMA's. They remind me of my liberal aunt, who lives a very conservative life and is horrified by the fact that I'm a Republican. I told her one time that maybe one of us is misunderstanding what this conservatism thing is all about. But mostly, I just avoid talking politics with her.

That actually made me get something in my eye.

Sure wish some PUMAs could talk some sense into my brothers and sisters. They're all Obamacrats and utterly beyond my ability to reach.

Somebody needs to tell hillary and her supporters that if Obama wins she will never see the Whitehouse so they better hope Mccain wins. what sounds best 4 years of Mccain and a chance at the Whitehouse or 8 years of Obama
and no chance at the Whitehouse if I was a Hillary supporter I been voting for Mccain.

Her sentiment has been echoed literally MILLIONS of times this election season, you will hear from them Tuesday.

Remember this, you have MILLIONS of disillusioned dems, many politically active and connected talking to OTHER dems all the time this election season.

My over/under number for the percentage of dems that Obama holds this season is 80%. That translates into a crushing defeat for Obama.

They ALL know that. Hillary Clinton forum did a poll of how they would vote if Hillary was the VP candidate, I believe it came out roughly 80% McCain/Palin, 20% Obama/Biden.

They hate Obama every bit as much as we do, in some cases more because they rightfully believe the ACORN nuts stole the nomination from Hillary.
