I recall that Rick Davis’ comments from yesterday were actually really positive. He felt good about their chances.

They’ve kept Hussein on the defense for the last week.

Cautiously optimisic. I just cannot fathom that good people in this country will choose the poorest choice for a candidate we’ve ever seen.

The McCains and Palins bring a smile to my face when I see them. They’ve conducted themselves admirably through this grueling election. They represent me and my kind. They are good people. I can’t see it any other way.

I’m keeping a picture in my head of John McCain taking the oath of ofice in January.

What were his comments yesterday and why do they conflict with Salter's?

they don't conflict... that's why he said, "compare his comments..."

Last year at this time I was not a big McCain fan.

Now, I am.

Funny all the Obamatons have to hang their hats on it's these MSM polls. Saturday night at a Halloween party the Obomites I talked to were sure of it. They used the line..so every poll, every one show Obama in the lead and they are all in cahoots to elect him, yea right. Sounds reasonable right? I then retorted back...do you know that in the primaries every major poll including the same ones you are quoting picked Obama to win Ca, NH and other states. It's true 100% of them. Look it up if you don't believe me. The changed the subject quickly, as their buoyant countenance turned to aggravation.

I don't sense any real optimism among my democratic acquaintances at all. They are almost to a soul, depressed. I don't see any of that much talked of enthusiasm either.

Political campaign sharks are a breed, no matter which side they are on at the moment.

Think of this like an adventure movie where the good guys get helped out by pirates and smugglers.

; ~ ) Ditto that...

I think last year McCain was a different candidate in some respects... I think he has had to readjust the way he views the world, especially in respect to those he ‘thought’ were on his side.

Picking Gov. Palin was a true gift to the GOP base.

Palin is going after him in Ohio on coal. That isn’t going to play well in PA either.

Going to be interesting.

My husband mentioned that there were no signs in the yards of the ‘predictable’ Dem voters in our neighborhood this year.

I made a point of driving around the tract and he is correct. Even those who usually have signs in their yards for local races do not have them this year.

Personally, I would love to have my Mc Cain sign out there, but we have to park our cars on the driveway and I’m afraid of vandalism.

I remember in the final days of the 1992 an 1996 election, you could tell by looking into the eyes of Bush I and Dole that they knew they were going to lose. McCain does not have that look, in fact he looks more confident than ever. Maybe it's because he knows something we don't...
