7 or 8% of likely voters are undecided its strange. I suspect that there are a lot of folks who are undecided whether to admit NOT voting for The One®

If a person has been raised in a house that always votes for the “D” party and if all their relatives and past friends have always supported the party, it may be difficult to break away from the lemmings and vote “R”.
If she is able to do so congratulate her on thinking for herself. Most democrats are still slaves of the mind to “the party”.

I totally have these people pegged. They are lifelong democrats. Never voted R in their lives. They voted for Hillary (or Edwards in the primary). They do NOT like Obama. could be skin color. Could be any number of other negatives.
They are “UNDECIDED” because they’re having a hard time pulling the lever for the very first time for an R candidate.

On the other hand, I’m so disgusted with pollsters manipulation, if I were polled, I would say undecided just to mess with them. Be nice to put them all out of business.

Undecided = “I’m not telling you” or “I’m not going to vote.”

Hey, I understand "undecided."
It's like this. You're sitting in a nice seafood restaurant on a dock in San Francisco. You look out one window and see Barak Obama drowning.
You look out the other window and see Nancy Pelosi drowning.
There isn't time to save both of them.
So you have to decide...
The shrimp or the scallops?

I believe these people are not undecided and they will vote for McCain but just do not want to be called Racist so the easy thing to do when you are polled is to say “I have not decided yet” Simple, effective and you will be be labeled a Racist

Please vote for McCain/Palin/country. Too many people are way too loyal to a party but this time, you have to do what's best for our country. my 2 cents.

Then why not ask her whether she prefers an almost totally inexperienced candidate whose resume includes only two years of national legislative experience who is afraid to discuss his past and regularly lies about his high taxing extreme left wing views and who has no respect for our laws and constitution, who uses grade school insults against his opponent, and whose economic policy is exactly what will deepen and extend the recession into possibly a depression over a center-right candidate with proven integrity who has fully disclosed his past and has a solid decades long record of fiscal conservativism, legislative responsibility and respect for our laws.

My students nailed it when they question teachers on who they're voting for:
"If they say "I don't know", it means they're voting for McCain."

Tried all that (except the belt, of course) and she’s still undecided - will give it another try tonight...
