very true... and Humphrey still lost the election to Nixon when the state of NH was much more Republican.

“Hillary got ZERO votes out of 11 in the Democratic Primary in Dixville Notch.”

So no PUMA votes available for McCain there.

So out of 21 votes cast, 11 of them are obvious Democrats or Democratic leaners. That means McCain won 6 of the remaining 10.

Not much of an idicator.

First Democrat to win Dixville Notch since Humphrey in 1968.

So? The happy warrior lost the election, IIRC. And I do.

“What’s with all the defeatism on this board tonight???

Knock it off please.”

They are bored. Bored people come up with stupid things to pass the time.

I didn’t have that info when I posted. :) All I heard was that it was the first time in 40 some years since it went Dem.

4 registered Republicans and 6 votes for McCain?

Are the other 16 Dems? Did 2 cross over? That would be significant.

Am I a Democrat? Are you an idiot?

I posted the result of the Dixville Notch vote and you throw a hissy fit? How pathetic.

Humphrey won Dixville Notch in 1968 and we all know he soundly defeated Nixon that year. /sarcasm

Bush did win Dixville Notch last election but since then the party id breakdown has changed and Democrats now have the advantage. It would have been nice to win, but it is not at all significant in the grand scheme of things.

Go out and vote. An 11 vote lead is not difficult to overcome.

Reminds me of that monk dousing himself with gasoline and committing self-immolation.

Me too.

What possesses people to flip their votes around so much so quickly in a backwoods town like that?

fear of a gang assault?

There was a guy on Freerepublic trying to get the home address of a USMC general a few hours ago because he endorsed McCain. Admod deleted the thread.

Stop!

This was just posted and it says the votes have not yet been counted. There are only 17 to be cast today. These numbers must not be right.

As I have posted many times: NH is rapidly becoming MA-North. I have low expectations for NH.

ME CD-2 is the only EV in play for McCuda, IMO.

They also went for Bush in 1992 and Dole in 1996. Oh - and HH in ‘68. Not the best indicator.

Actually in 1992 they went for Andre Marrou, the Libertarian.
