Dixville Notch is in Northern New Hampshire.

Right next to ... Vermont.

Ron Paul. They still like libertarians in northern New Hampshire. But that's why the Republican Party has all but disappeared from the region. Its viewed as southern fried socially conservative and is not a good fit with New England's live and let live ethos.

Wouldn’t the population have gone up then?

A lot of the old folks have died. The demographics have changed. Liberals are good at moving into decent places and turning them into cesspools.

Yeah when the initial news about Kerry came in four years ago, this forum was so still you could hear a pin drop.

Yes...IIRC, that was about 24 hours prior to the strutting and chest beating and proclamations that liberalism was dead, forever vanquished, and that those who suggested the victory was "more a vote against Kerry than a mandate/indicator of support for Bush" were trolls, naysayers, etc.

Isn't it great they were so right and the GOP still has both houses of the Congress!?

The only thing Dixville Notch shows...is how Dixville Notch is voting.

I still think McCain has a chance in NH. He’s won 2 more elections there than BO has.

Check out this article — Dixville Notch now has more registered Democrats than Republicans... also, judging from the picture of the guy in the bow-tie... looks like the town maybe a little less... hmmmm.... how do we say this delicately.... a little less “hetero-normative” if you catch my drift...

LOL!

In all of my 49 years I have never for one instant cared about (or known) who the 20+ voters of Dixville Notch, NH voted for.... and I’m not going to start caring about it now.

It’s not even the first shot in a basketball game, to change another poster’s analogy..... it’s more like the first bounce of the first dribble. Totally meaningless.

Exactly. Also, voter fraud from Canada cannot be ruled out at this time.

I think there’s more than that.

I’ve noticed ever since Senator McCain chose Sarah Palin for his running mate — Governor Palin absolutely makes homosexuals go berzerk.

Gay guys, lesbians. Doesn’t matter. She’s like Kryptonite to them. They go bonkers.

I think Dixville Notch wasn’t even about Obama or McCain. I think they’re suffering from intolerance and Palinphobia, because of living so close to Vermont.

Liberals are good at moving into decent places and turning them into cesspools.

Ain't that the truth!

I wonder why they insist on invading an area and then changing it to be more like the place they left behind, which they left because it was trashed by their policies.

Dixville Notch is the closest thing we have to open balloting. Everyone in America is going to know who you voted for.

"After a victorious showing in the Iowa caucuses, where votes were cast publicly, polls predicted that Obama would also capture the New Hampshire Democratic primary election by a large margin over Hillary Clinton, a white senator. However, Clinton defeated Obama by three points in the New Hampshire race, where ballots were cast secretly, immediately initiating suggestions by some analysts that the Bradley effect may have been at work."

 Go Bradley!
