I was out putting up yard signs for McCain/Palin at 45 voting precincts until 3 this morning. Our signs are as much as 10 to 1 against BO here in VA! I’m not quite sure what to attribute that too. I read where the ground game for BO was supposed to be “phenomenol”. It just hasn’t been. Anywhere I’ve been except inner city. Any thoughts?

Saw a couple pumas in line this morning in the heart of PUMA country-Albany, NY.

Was talking with them and they concurred with my assessment that McCain has a very good shot at taking New York state tonight! Do not be surprised if soon after 9 PM this state is called for McCain/Palin!

Gives me hope too. If I’ve learned anything about them, like many of us here, they are very very very motivated to beat Obama.

They are millions of organized formerly Hillary supporters whose answer to Obama’s call for Party Unity was, “Party Unity My A$$!” - PUMA.

Hubby voted before work this morning. Longest wait he has ever had before - nearly an hour - and we are a small little town here in Ohio. Huge turnout here and very few Obama signs anywhere.

Neighbors are a house full of Guatemalans moved here to work (don’t know if they are legal) - two McCain-Palin signs in their yard.

Quinn and Rose — Rose replayed an interview with a PUMA from the convention. She received an email this morning from the same PUMA who said she has talked more people into voting with her, and she said that she was going to vote McCain and then the rest democrats, but she has changed her mind and is voting a straight Republican ticket.

All good news.

Officially: People United Means Action

Actually: Party Unity My Ass

They are a group of pro-Hillary, anti-Obama Democrats and independents who are angry over how Obama went after Hillary and believe he is a threat to the country. PUMAs are also quite angry at the DNC and many have become disillusioned with the party. They would like to see her run again in 4 years and most are crossing over to vote for McCain. If McCain pulls it off tonight, we will owe them many thanks.

People mad at Dems for not selecting Hillary? Or people mad at Repubs for selecting McCain?

They just want Shrillery to have a fresh shot at it in four years, and nobody here wants that.

If i had to swear to vote for Hillary in 4 years to keep Obama out of the White House I would do it.

She is bad, he is evil.

My dad was eager to vote for Palin this year, but he passed away Sept. 26. He wasn’t the nicest person, but a staunch conservative and retired minister. Heaven help any political surveyor if Dad answered the phone — especially if it was a push poll for a lib! It was hilarious.

o here goes........what does PUMA stand for?

Party Unity My A$$. It's what the Hillary supporters replied to the Obamites who wanted them all to get along after Obama won (or, as the PUMA's believe-STOLE) the nomination.

The Help screen explains a lot under the Basic HTML subheading.   http://www.freerepublic.com/help.htm

As others have said, the image has to exist on a server accessible in the public domain.

It can't be on your own computer or within a system that denies service to non-subscribers or is proprietarily restricted.

Thanks everyone for clearing it up for me.

It’s 10:39 now so I figure the lines should be short at my polling place so I better walk on over there (it’s right around the corner) and vote for McCain. He will take Oklahoma no problem but I want to add to the popular vote.

God I’m so nervous!!! Don’t know if I will be able to watch the results tonight.

I welcome their help, and everyone here ought to, as well.

If The One gets in, there may be no more dissent.

Let's get this election won.
