Fire a Liberal — it'll make you feel better...
I for one intend to do it tomorrow... NY is a right to Work State, I can fire anyone i want for any reason or for no reason (as long as it isn't racial or gender discrimination)...
Their are a handful of spoiled self-righteous twenty-somethings who work for me... they have no idea what my politics are and have shamelessly worked on Obama stuff at the office... like all narcissist's, they assume everyone thinks like they do... tomorrow two of them will learn the hard way that they were wrong...
Here is what I intend to say:

You have chosen in the past several months to bring your political views into the work place... so it is no secret to me that you have been active in supporting the very democratic candidates who I believe will threaten the very existence of this business... You are apparently, not interested in the welfare of this business and the people it provides with jobs. Subsequently, I'm not interested in employing you. Today is your last day. You'll be paid a two-week severance. You are entitled to COBRA health care benefits as described by law. You are probably entitled to unemployment benefits, but you'll have to pursue that on your own. If you choose to use me as a reference for future employment, I will give a true and faithful account of your performance here, but will also describe my reasons (as outlined above) for terminating you.
You may think that this decision is harsh and perhaps unfair — but no person is immune from the consequences of their actions and decisions. Grownups live their politics — and know you must live yours.
I wish you well and good luck in your future endeavors.”

I don't see that as a problem. Why would they sue? You'd be doing them a favor. We know how much the Marxist/Socialist punk Obama voters hate corporations. Why in the world would they want to work for one?

I would suggest any business owners keep quiet about any plans.

Things do need to change (on our end) though and this is ultimately what the initial post is really about as is yours and I appreciate the change. I can't wait to get to the heart of the matter and be unflinching.
It is your busines and your choice. That said, may I humbly suggest a different course of action.
Why don’t you practice some Obama/Chavez/Marx style Socialism with them. “Redistribute” some of their pay (or their next bonus or increase) to charity or lower paid employees, make them take turns cleaning the toilets, or performing other duties that they deem “beneath” them. Explain that you, like Barack Obama want to set up a utopian, Socialist society at your workplace are just “spreading the wealth around”. “Each according to his ability...blah, blah, blah.
That would be much more merciful (I wouldn’t like being fired for my political views) and would bring home the message much more strongly, IMHO.
Whatever, you do, I strongly urge a little “coling off period” before you do something you might regret later.

Why not calculate what your additional tax burden, healthcare costs, etc. will be and divide the cost amongst your liberal employees ?
Simply announce that the higher business taxes under Obama’s plan require wage cuts to pay the higher taxes and “spreading the misery” seems to have been the will of the voters. So you have no choice but to pass the cost along.
If your business has prices to the public, you might also post two price lists — one for Republicans and one for Democrats. I don’t think there is any law against charging different prices to different customers, is there ? Or, if you know your customers well enough to know their party affiliation, you could just raise your prices, but issue “Business Friendly Discount Cards” to the Republicans.
