Imho, I think Obama got selected because he’s basically weak/indecisive and can be manipulated. 0 also plays into a whole plethora of archetypal national emotions. Just an opinion.

The irony in all of this is that voting for Hussein because he is black, or celebrating the fact that he’s been elected president because he’s black, is as racist an act as NOT voting, or NOT celebrating the election.
All of this emotional outpouring over this historic event - it has only to do with the color of his skin, and absolutely nothing to do with the content of his character.

When I was a boy, growing up on the mean white streets of suburban New Jersey, my dad always used to tell me, "Son, a white man will never be an NBA MVP." Well I cried like a widdle widdle baby when Larry Bird proved my old man wrong.
You see, I get vicariously emotional when people who share my particular skin tone achieve things that I in no way contributed to.
