Obama Gains With Religious Voters
Associated Press ^ | November 5, 2008

In building a winning coalition of religious voters, Barack Obama cut into the so-called God gap that puts frequent worshippers in the Republican column, won Catholics, made inroads with younger evangelicals, and racked up huge numbers with minorities and people with no religious affiliation.

By some measures, the faith-based equivalent of the red and blue map didn't change that much: Large voting blocs like white Catholics and evangelical Protestants remained in the Republican camp, for example.

The early indications from exit polls don't suggest a fundamental reshaping of religion's role in electing presidents, but they do show Obama made progress on important fronts that hold promise for future Democratic religious coalitions that cross racial lines, analysts said.

Lies, lies and more damn lies. Rev. Wright does not represent Christianity. He is nothing more than the head of a racist hate group that uses religion to brainwash their masses. And he was Obama’s pastor and mentor.

The best one I saw to date is an argument made in the media that Obama’s pro choice position is actually also a pro life position because he's trying to reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies and thereby reducing abortion. This of course was the “spin” when editorializing the freedom of Choice Act, which Obama supports and more or less makes Abortion on demand a reality.

LOL.

Come January Obama’s days of gaining anybody is over. The whole game changes, demon GWB out, Pelosi/ Obama in. Come January their party is over as all cameras on them.

And we reunite after many years in a common cause(finally)with the resistance. Our curse GWB/McCain is lifted, from darkness comes the light.

Look two disasters 2006+2008 are way too many for me. Can we please stop the obvious screwups and not give them 2010?? Please!!!

I agree they did a breakdown last nite on FOX, he got like 20 of the young evangelicals. McCain won the White Catholics and other evangelicals! I can’t believe 20% of the conservatives voted for him though I mean Obama!

As far as I'm concerned, any Christian that voted for Obama, knowing his support of Infanticide, is simply a G.D. Hypocrite. I they didn't know, they are too G.D. Ignorant to vote in the first place.

Any excuses made to defend their vote only shows how shallow their Faith really is.

And don't get me started on Obama’s Socialist beliefs of sharing the wealth. When you covet your neighbor's possessions, you show you're not a Christian, just an envious Mortal with no sense of self worth.

Religion and belief are entirely different matters.

Jeremiah Wright would be religion.

Manning would be a believer, though he is rather harsh in delivery.

The truth is painful sometimes.
