My simple solution is to drop my GOP registration and become an Independent until a real conservative option surfaces.

These GOP “leaks” to the MSM about Sarah Palin are the final straw to me. Bye bye, GOP, it's been a great 19 years (I am 37 years old).

I would rather find out who these people are and push them out. This is OUR party, let’s not let a few bully us. The party has been letting that happen for a while, it is time to take it back.

I never left the Republican Party, it left me back in 1991-1992 with a “read my lips” broken promise!!!!

We can do it ourselves. We can organize a new grassroots machine.

Great idea. I think I’ll drop a note to the RNC that I’m done with them due to the Sarah bashing and their Rat-Lite agenda.

I did it 14-15 years ago...when I was your age. Haven’t voted for a single Demorat since then, but voted for conservative third party candidates more than once. Sarah Palin was the reason I voted R this time.

I thought about doing this before, but this time may be the charm. The reason I have difficulty changing parties is that I can't seem to shake the image in my mind of the GOP as representing conservative values. And I figure I have more of a chance of influencing the party from within than from without in a non-viable party. Any words of wisdom to get me to jump off the diving board?

Maybe that is exactly what we should all do! Have a mass change in voter registration, changing to independent. Beside the fact I am hearing too many people saying the GOP should stay clear of the conservatives and be more center. I am going to find out today when I can go in and change my party registration and ask my friends to do the same. Too many people didn’t like McCain because he was NOT a true conservative but better than Obama. Where is McCain now with all this crap being said about Sarah????? Maybe he had courage years ago but not so much now that he’s lost. And Sarah is the scapegoat.
