It does in the long run to be accurate.

Additionally, this could matter in other states as due to voter purging a lot of people had to use provisional ballots, so that plus military votes getting counting may give us a clearer picture of what we are dealing with next election.

Yah,it does....to a degree.Bragging rights.Osama Hussein should have been able to carry every state that borders Illinois but now cannot make that boast.True,it's not as important as algore's failure to carry TN in '00 but this does matter.

As a resident of Indiana, it matters to me. At least, me and my fellow Hoosiers don't have to share in the shame of being a blue state.

Saw a post yesterday that said McCain would have won if he could have just switched 700,000 votes in 7 states.....

No kidding.

Right now Senate races are more critical.

In a sense, it does matter. The networks call this for Obama, and that turned out to be false.

Also, there is a need to allow all Military Votes to be counted.

Our election system is truly broken since, in some cases, a homeless person can register a park bench as his/her address. And then persuaded to register/vote for a candidate with cigarettes and dollar bills.

On the other hand, our Troops, who are sticking their neck out, may not have their votes counted.

Why? Because of lags in getting the votes in...

This was broken in 2004 and it is broken in 2008.

And this does play a factor in the Coleman race in Minnesota...

The short of it, in 2004 and in this election, apparently Our Troops votes are disqualified by arriving by a certain time. However, that is not the Troops fault, and their votes should count.

The Military Vote may be a [deciding] factor in the Coleman election in Minnesota. I fear the Democrats might 'find lost votes' in that election. The Military Vote could offset that...

Yes it does. If we can convince the electoral college delegates to demand that the candidates produce their Original Birth Certificates, then Obama will have to or forfeit.

I sure as hell does to those of us who live here and worked hard to support Republican principles here, it matters a lot.
