That is was the list so far, the update is as follows:

Nichole Wallace

Steve Schmidt

Mark McKinnon

Mike Smerconish

Ken Duberstein

Schmidt, Wallace and McKinnon sadly are former McCain/Palin 2008 staffers...

Feel free to add your own names to the list, these folks either attacked Sarah Palin visciously, or endorsed Obama.

And now they are anxious to work with the Obama/Democrats.

Hitchens is not a Republican. Good list though.

Frank Fukiyama

Was that supposed to be Francis Fukiyama? If so then I don't know if he was ever a Republican. He was a neo-conservative but many of the neocons were Democrats.

McCain is close to joining the list, the talk of McCain being Obama’s liaisons to the Senate Republicans is prima facie evidence of Vichy tendencies..

Won't make that call yet, but...

Kick McCain out - after all, he wanted amnesty to 10+ million illegal immigrants.

Hitchens was never a conservative. He’s a left-leaning, atheist libertarian. And more, he’s an asshole.

They should form their own RINO-PAC.

Good riddance, now we don't ever let them come back!

Ahh..that is true, in a way the NeoCons really are the losers in this election, they lost clout with Inside the Beltway Republicans, and the Dems hate them, but more or less, they acted like Republicans during the Bush years, so on the list some of them go.

Some, mind you, there is a sizable minority that did not turn on Governor Palin.

Here’s a vote for Condi Rice

Also, FWIW, there was a blurb on Boston.com about Weld running for Kerry’s senate seat should Kerry be named SOS. UNF*^#!KING BELIEVABLE!!! I have more respect for Barney Frank than Bill Weld...and that ain’t much.

Shays is gone.

He was a RINO, but I do believe he was the last person with an R behind his name in the Northeast in the House.

For the list, writers like Hitchens go on because they supported the war in Iraq, then pulled that support, and now attacked Governor Palin.

True, however when the media throws Republicans a bone and asks “What will it take for Republicans to win in the Northeast” in some 2 minute late night segment, Chris Shays will be the “guy” they go to..

Any Republican who reaches across the aisle should be kicked across the aisle!

I wouldn’t write the neocons off. They never had any constituency among the voter base in the first place but they came to dominate the last three Republican administrations (including Reagan’s).

What’s even more sad is....

I wonder how many of these names will be serving in Barry’s administration; surely to be lauded by the press as a sign of Dear Leader’s magnanimity by placing “solid” Republicans in positions of authority in his intellectually superior White House staff and cabinet.

I’ve got to start drinking more frequently if I’m going to survive the next 48 months.

I don’t believe Hitchens is a Republican or a Neo-Con. He supported the Iraq War because his Commie Marxist buddies in Iraq were being suppressed and imprisoned and killed by Saddam. He wanted Saddam out so the Commies could take over Iraq.
