"The Obama Administration will call on Americans to serve in order to meet the nation’s challenges. President-Elect Obama will expand national service programs like AmeriCorps and Peace Corps and will create a new Classroom Corps to help teachers in underserved schools, as well as a new Health Corps, Clean Energy Corps, and Veterans Corps. Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by developing a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year. Obama will encourage retiring Americans to serve by improving programs available for individuals over age 55, while at the same time promoting youth programs such as Youth Build and Head Start."

Just refuse to do it. You owe Obama nothing, and he can demand nothing of you.

They can force my dead body to serve. But while I have breath in my body they can go f’ themselves.
BTW, I homeschooled my kids... in the 80's. I am now helping homeschool a second generation of children.

He doesn’t follow the constitution, remember? Obama is our glorious dear leader. Every decision he makes is divine wisdom from the clouds of heaven.
I’m saying only local school boards should make such decisions - not the feds. Some have requirements today for community service in their senior year, but not too many hours are involved. I’ve seen the kids helping at the animal shelter, food bank, church outreach programs, etc. It’s no big deal for them for it may be only 30 or so hours and they seem to really enjoy what they are doing.
Have congress pass a law and/or withhold funding of any sort to those that won’t, however I am sure they will follow his program, even if it is JUST a SUGGESTION, lock step behind dur Fuhrer!
This needs to go to the Supreme Court. I don’t see how forced child labor is legal. The one thing that struck me about Obama’s acceptance speech was that he told us we have to “help” him. I don’t see how the citizens are supposed to be helping the government.
That needs to be done immediately, and all churches need to be aware of this requirement so they can get in on the action....to keep the youth from more “brainwashing”...this needs to be done asap.
