Report cites Frank's proposal to cut military 25%
President-elect Barack Obama raised questions during an election campaign stop in Colorado Springs when he asserted the U.S. needs a "civilian national security force" that would be as powerful, strong and well-funded as the Army, Marines, Navy and Air Force, but few of those questions have been answered.
But now one report is proposing a possible solution for part of the equation: From where would the money for such an organization come? Democrats in Congress now are floating the idea of cutting U.S. military spending by 25 percent, or $150 billion a year, and according to a report from blogger Jay Tea, that could be used for the new "security force."
The idea to cut the military, proposed by Rep. Barney Frank, already is being opposed by Republicans.
Frank, D-Mass., recently told a newspaper the Pentagon will have to start choosing the cuts from its weapons programs because he wants to slash more than $150 billion from the estimated $607 billion in defense spending already approved for fiscal year 2008.
Sen. Roscoe Bartlett, R-Md., argued America now is fighting terror worldwide, including active wars in Afghanistan and Iran, and that has stretched the capabilities of the military already.
He warned cutting funding in such a drastic way would be irresponsible.
"You know if we don't make the right decisions about the military nothing else will matter will it? Because if we don't have a free country then you know what do these other programs matter at all? That's the number one responsibility," he said.

My first logical thought on the matter is that he wants a paramilitary he has guaranteed control over as his intended changes for our Nation would leave him with sleepless nights without that control. So what that he is now to become the CIC of the Military. It’s an establishment of known and true Americans.
The posted thought is another derivative of that line of thinking.

Each state already has a civilian defense force, its called the National Guard. Each city already has a police department. What does he need this group for? The creation of such a "Corps" is straight out of the CPUSA agenda. Obama hasn’t hid his fondness for Marxism, in fact he said in his memoir that he “was quite attracted to it".
Germany under Hitler during hard economic times set up a volunteer neighborhood/community "Civilian National Security Forces" to protect the Homeland. Once established, the civilian force became a political enforcement arm of the Nazi Government and was subsequently run by the Gestapo.

It has been said that Rahm Emanuel was so angry at the Clinton’s enemies that he stood up at a celebratory dinner with colleagues from the campaign, grabbed a steak knife and began rattling off a list of betrayers, shouting “Dead! … Dead! … Dead!” and plunging the knife into the table after every name. He once sent a rotting fish to a pollster who had angered him. In his book, "The Plan: Big Ideas for America", published in 2006, Emanuel sketches out his ideas on how to “fight against the spread of evil and totalitarianism.” and suggests “we must protect our homeland and civil liberties by creating a new domestic counter-terrorism force.” Rahm Emanuel is also an enthusiastic supporter of the United States Public Service Academy Act, a lobbying group founded in 2006 in order to promote the foundation of an American public service academy modeled on the military academies - a youth corps whose students would be trained in “civilian internship in the armed forces”. Sound reminiscent of Hitler Youth?
Sure, maybe some of WND's hype should be seen as such, but given the Communist background of Obama, we should never be complacent. As always, if we ignore the lessons of the past, we are doomed to repeat those same mistakes.
