WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin fired back on Friday against post-election claims by aides to Republican presidential candidate John McCain that she thought Africa was a country, not a continent, calling the anonymous sources "jerks."
Palin, McCain's running mate in their unsuccessful White House campaign, told CNN the allegation "is not true." She said the leaks could have come from people who helped her with preparation for her debate against Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden.
She said she remembered having conversations during debate preparation about Africa and the North American Free Trade Agreement.
A Fox News report cited unidentified campaign sources who said Palin did not know Africa was a continent and could not name the three countries in NAFTA -- the United States, Canada and Mexico.
"I think if there are allegations based on questions or comments that I made in debate prep about NAFTA or about the continent versus the country when we talk about Africa there, then those were taken out of context, and that is cruel and mean-spirited, it's immature, it's unprofessional, and those guys are jerks," Palin said.

Not only a gleeful delivery of petty and unbelievable claims from anonymous sources, but obviously delivered without giving the accused an opportunity to respond. Despicable all around.

I was noticing that tonight on those Hollywood entertainment shows that typically come on here around 7PM they were contineing their Obama Worship. And to add to that they decided to do a “are you smarter than Sarah Palin” where they ask hollywood stars if they know if Africa is a country or continent. And of course they were all Obamaphiles.
So now we know the caliber of people McCain surrounds himself with. And the kind of people he turned to for the most important campaign of his life.
He went up against the emptiest of empty suits, a war hero against a guy who’s never held a job, a senior senator and naval officer against a guy you wouldn’t hire to work in a convenience store, and somehow his campaign staff managed to screw that up. How do you mess up what ought to have been a slam-dunk?
If you have any class at all, you shake hands at the end, wish one another well with all sincerity, wipe a few tears from one another’s eyes, and go your way. Over the next couple of years you ponder what you might have done to make it go better, and if anyone asks about it you try and focus on the moments that made you proud. Thats what you do if you have any class.
Now answer me this: who in their right mind will ever hire these nimrods knowing that not only did they blow this election but they publicly badmouthed their employer? Who is going to hire someone like this knowing they’ll likely do the same to you?
This stuff is what happens when the power structure is threatened.
Sarah is a real threat for smaller. less intrusive government.
But most in both parties do not want a smaller government. They are too busy enriching themselves.

When Bill Cunningham used the name “Barack Hussein Obama” at a McCain rally, McCain excoriated him. Have we heard directly from Senator McCain defending the honor of his hand-picked veep candidate? Will a statement be forthcoming?

Me too! I took a magic marker and blacked out RINO loser McCain from my bumper stickers today. Now the round one just says "Palin", and the other one just says "Sarah!".
It's telling that RINO boy won't come to her defense or get pissed like he did when someone used Obama's full name.

you could have an actual video on Farrakhan calling Obama the Messiah, or an audio tape of Biden claiming a guaranteed, manufactured “test” just for Obama... or evidence of Obama hangin’ out with domestic terrorists..and people would STILL vote for the guy....oh wait, We DO have all of those things... and they DID still vote for him.
Yet, if Bush walked on water, they would just claim he doesn’t know how to swim.
