IMHO, we all need to start right now in contacting and influencing our elected representatives, and our US Sentors inparticular because they offer the only real hope and chance to stop much of the deluge of socialistic initiatives that will soon flood the halls fo congress.

Please, if you are so inclined, write similar letters to your Senators and urge everyone you know to do the same. Feel free to us my own as a template if you so desire, either from this thread on FR, or from my own SITE

Both of mine are liberal Democrats. No principles to appeal to.

From your lips to God’s ear. Too bad most of the GOP seems not to care for God nor our country.

Some are aware and many have seen posts on Free Republic stating that we should keep our mouths shut to protect ourselves from coming re-education camps.

I believe now more than ever that some form of forced re-education is real possibility (the socialists and communists already have the education structure of the government schools) — it will be for those who are somewhat older.

It will become a reality only if we DO keep our mouths shut.

Before the laws are passed we need to stand up and stand tall. We must risk calls to our doors from federal agents wanting to know our “thoughts” and intentions. We must risk the government motor pool vehicles siting near our houses and keeping us under surveillance. We must risk having our phones and emails monitored. And if they are listening in, we must say the right things — the truth.

The nation will not be spared by those who hide and attempt to keep their names secret. The nation will be spared by those who make themselves vulnerable; by those who, like our founding father sought liberty in the face of tyranny and lost all as to this world.

There will be something of a “honeymoon” for the Anointed One, a period of euphoric emotion in which it will seem to be “ungentlemanly” to oppose the wishes of the One, even bordering on some wretched version of “racism”.

Barack Hussein Obama,Jr., the messianic, charismatic Magic Negro, CANNOT, by himself, work all these proposed changes on America. There is simply too much inertia in the existing institutions. More than that, trying to push an agenda through the national legislature, is something like herding cats. So there shall be little direct change at first, but once started, it could, and probably would, turn into a snowball.

Our objective should be to break the snowball before it starts to accrue any size. Republicans may expect to be locked out of committee meetings, and have their attempts to add amendments while the bill is on the floor be completely stifled. This will lead to trying to peel off enough Democrats, especially the “blue dogs” who may SOMETIMES be persuaded to work in the nation’s interest, rather than their own. On the rest, a practice of systematically running deep opposition research, in which the “yellow dogs” are the subjects of a very intensive and comprehensive anal exam, which could prove even more damaging than whatever is in their FBI files, but from information that is acquired completely separately from any of the raw data in those FBI files. If they have undergraduate or graduate level theses, the subject and content of those papers. History of interpersonal associations, travel, sources of funding for each run for office, current investments held outside government, and determination of where their loyalties (if any) lie. And e-mails. Hack into their e-mails, including any and all personal accounts. Apparently this tactic is not in the least illegal. Or difficult.

This is the game the Democrats have played against the Republicans for years. They have set the rules of engagement. “Gentlemen” need not apply. Reading what they have lying about on their desk is not out of bounds in this game. Democrats must be considered to be enemy agents, and treated accordingly.

Jeff, it won’t do much in Colorado since we now have two democrat senators. One is the new and therefore party-line Udall and the other is the funny little man that wears a cowboy hat but who owns a vaction cottage in ANWR and who is also a party liner.

You need to add a line that the primary task of the President is to defend US from our ENEMIES, not to use the office to IMPOSE HIS WILL ON US. They have to clamor about this every day.

What a pickle we are in. This bum is gonna start WW3. All the effort to defend Eastern Europe and Zero is getting ready to hand Poland to the Russians on a silver platter.

I have Murray and Cantwell. I write them letters and get a form letter in return: “Thank you for contacting me. As you know, I always value your input but here’s how I am going to do this.” Blah Blah Blah. I’ll keep trying anyway.

No offense, Jeff, but there are some mis-spellings in there. It's a great letter, but I would suggest that anyone who uses it run spell check against it before sending it. I think it just makes the writer look more polished and makes the reader take the message more seriously.

Again, no offense. It's a great letter.

This is spot on except for one small addition: Plant the seed and food for thought that, under our Constitution, We, the People, should our right to bear arms be infringed upon in any way, have the right to assemble as a citizen militia in efforts to thwart potential tyranny here in our beloved USA.

Let them know of the ground swell of talk already on the street on this subject since the election of this possibly illegal candidate who already has implied legislation to do harm to our welfare.

Do it in no uncertain terms so they get the message.

Lie and fool me once, it's YOUR fault. Lie and fool a second time, it's MY fault.

Jeff,

Do you really think these Senators actually READ all these millions of letters we laboriously write them any more than you will probably be able to read all the replies individually that you get on this thread. They have staff that scans them through a process and digests the YES/NO votes advocated by the majority. Even the “personal” replies we get from their offices are computer generated boozhwah signed with a machine that makes the signature look like it’s real.

A suggestion I read about recently is to get several colorful postcards that draw attention, write on the postcard “Vote NO on Prop.8799 or Vote YES on HR 6558” and send it on. It will likely get more individual attention that ten thousand form letters that are simply sorted anyway and thrown into the old computer hole to be “dealt with” in a way to make the voter think he or she is important to the Congresscritter. Sorry, I’m getting very tired, and somewhat cynical.

The democratic majority was unsuccessful in obtaining a fillibuster proof majority

You might have spoken too soon. There are 57 Senators in the 111th Congress's D-I Senate caucus so far, compared to 40 in the R, and three races are still undecided. I suspect, that Al Franken will ultimately win one of those races through Democrat treachery, at which point I will have to start calling it the Roman Senate (during the last days of Rome, of course).

By the way, I've enjoyed your stickers, as have friends and family. When are you going to have the "Sarah 2012" stickers? :)

Good job, Jeff. It’s time for the Republicans to finally act like they are Republicans. It’s time for the opposition to *oppose*!
