I look forward to finally getting a Senator in my State who earns their $$$$ working for it.At least you have a sense of humor.

Yes — and you can be sure that the portion of the GOP base that gave us Obama will be the loudest b*tchers over the next four years.

Exactly! This is BS, she won’t be offered the post, and if so, wouldn’t take it.
To: Deo volente
You nailed it. Better even than to have her sitting in the Senate.

As a former democrat, I worked my ass off for the republicans! It is a shame that the republicans didn’t do their part. I guess I am just more patriotic:).
To: cdchik123
No way she would take this job, even if offered. It'll more likely be some colorless drone, as per usual in Democrat administrations.
One of my favorite quotes about a Democrat Sec. of State was made about and shortly after Warren Christopher was nominated: "Cyrus Vance -- without the charisma."

We certainly need more like you — and fewer of the do-nothing whiners.

Not so sure and as thee former Clinton official said "What would you rather do -- be senator or secretary of state?"
I understand she flew to Chicago today for 'personal business' and the local news is covering this with utter glee.

It doesn’t matter who holds any of these appointed positions under Oprah’s Choice, for he will handle all of the positions himself anyway. These names make not the least bit of difference. It will be 100 percent socialists.

I know several “principled” Republicans who left the Presidential vote blank or wrote in a non-write-in candidate.

She's going to lose to Obama and then be subservient to him as a member of his cabinet? I don't think so. She can stay in the Senate and be an effective Senator, and her own boss.
To: cdchik123
Why am I totally NOT surprised at that news! Ugh!
Payback is the pits, huh?

My sentiments exactly. It’s a setup.

It's Being Considered Perhaps, but not by her, you can be sure.

“”Id like to thank all the folks who couldnt stomach voting for McCain. Thanks so much, you !!!*&^#%$#@s!””
Yes, Darkwolf - I agree - I’m still shell-shocked and heartbroken over what’s in store for our country. I look at the posts lately - people seem amused, esoteric, philosophical, casual, etc. I think our future is soon to be Horrific.

Then you’d better thank the liberal Republicans and RINOs. Most conservatives sucked it up and voted for McCain. It was the country club bunch that got fooled by Obama’s edumacation.
