London, England (AHN) - British officials are considering a ban on "happy hour" discount drink prices and events to combat growing liver-related deaths among young adults in the country.
An independent policy review is expected to be released in the coming weeks, and health officials will base their decisions based on the report's results.
The British government also plans a $15-million public awareness campaign warning against the dangers of binge drinking.
National statistics show a consistent increase in the number of alcohol-related deaths in young adults typically seen in people in their 40s and 50s who have abused alcohol for decades. The number of alcohol-related deaths more than doubled to 8,758 from 1991 to 2006.
Officials are also considering banning such practices as drinking games and speed-drinking events that are popular at some British pubs.
It’s the passage of all their nanny-state, anti-Christian and sharia laws that are driving people to drink. ;-/

Happy hour has essentially been banned in my neck of the woods for many years now.
The happy people will not be jazzed about this...
It's expensive for young people to drink themselves to liver failure during happy hour. It's usually done alone with cheap jugs of vodka.

If I was living in a country that bans knives, registers TV’s with the govt, the internet is being watched by big brother, where Sharia Law is the norm for fear of being offended, hecK: I’ll drink myself silly as well.
But to be fair, we have our own problems with the magic negro coming in this January. Still remember this Brit lass criticizing us about our healthcare and I started to laugh at her face.
