Mumbai: At least 15 people have been injured in gunfights between two groups in at least three places in Mumbai on Thursday night.
Details are sketchy but it is believed that two gangs fired at each other at outside CST Railway Terminus, Hotel Oberoi and the popular Café Leopold restaurant in Mumbai.
The first shooting took place near the CST police station

I have a WWII Mosin-Nagant bolt action (7.62 x 54R). If I were outside of the building looking to hit somebody through a window several floors up, I'd take the Mosin over the AK any day.

Newspapers squarely blamed Lashkar-e-Taiba, one of the largest Islamist militant groups in South Asia, for the attacks that killed more than 100 people and wounded more than 300 which began late on Wednesday.”

Harishchandra Shiverhankar scribbled furiously on a notepad, gesturing with his fingers to explain his last bloody memories of Wednesday night before waking up in an unfamiliar hospital bed.
The 56-year-old was walking towards the Metro cinema when he felt his legs collapse - a bullet had been shot through his lower back. A hand then grasped his hair, pulled back his head and a blade slit his neck. He had been caught in the vortex of violence unleashed by people who wanted to murder, not just maim.

The Bombay hospital, which has waived all fees for those caught up in the bloody events of this week, has also been treating commandos who fell in the line of duty. One doctor said he had never seen such wounds. “Machine gun bullets to the head are not something we see a lot of. Even in Mumbai,” said one physician.

It pains me to say this, but just like after 9/11; the world took a look at muslim jihadis for awhile and they they moved on.
Well, now that the stock market has been up five days in a row, gas is under 2 dollars, and the “holiday” shopping season is underway, most Americans couldn’t care less about a bunch of “militants” causing trouble in faraway Mumbai.
I fear for our nation and its safety tonight.

This is one of the points that the author Ed Husain made. Also, MI5 has a much smaller staff than our FBI relative to population if I am not mistaken. Another point with regard to the influence of cleric’s is that there are those in the New York area who do the same kind of thing. Also in norther Virginia there is a Saudi financed Islamic school that has been the cause of controversy and raised questions about course content. I think that most Western countries have laws about “contributing to the delinquency of minors”, and I think that some of this mosque and school content would clearly fall within that category if minors are present. A good point for legal action.
Back about 30 years ago a local bank was robbed and the farmers grabbed their guns and took off after the bank robbers but never caught up to them. If they had caught up with them the bank robbers would have surrendered or died.
India/Mumbai is a free kill zone with unarmed civilians just like a lot of schools and universities here.

Yes, and that is exactly why when bringing “victims” out of a hostage situation; that all “hostages” id’s should be checked and names run in leo’s computer systems before anyone is cleared to leave the area.
Finger print them too. Put them up in safe places until they can be checked out.

At this point I think all mosques and Muslim schools should be closed until thoroughly vetted.
