President-elect Barack Obama, returning to his home state of Hawaii for the holidays, plans a beachside vacation at one of Oahu's most exclusive properties, according to an islander involved in the planning. Arrangements are being finalized for the Obamas and the families of two or three friends to stay at a Kailua beachfront location with three modern, multi-million-dollar homes. Each wraps around a lagoon-style swimming pool, with palm trees, grassy lawns and retractable glass walls for postcard views of the white sand and windsurfers.

to cut a litle slack ... he will have a significant salary inrease coming up in January and absolutely NO costs to living, except girls’ tuition and you can bet they will get a nice little discount on that.
And, now that he’s head of the Office of the President Elect, the SS probably wants a more remote, secluded place. Wait till he pulls a Clinton and discovers the luxurious homes of the Hollywood set.

I’ve never been to Hawaii and I doubt I will ever be able to afford even a modest vacation there. Guess I’ve been hanging out with the wrong people.

Your right, President Bush, went to his ranch on vacation for the whole month of August every year I believe, and he caught flack for that..but half and half will be praised for his choice of vacation..

The old rancher said, ‘Well, ya know, Obama is a ‘Post Turtle’ ‘.
Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a ‘post turtle’ was.
The old rancher said, ‘When your driving down a country road, and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that’s a ‘post turtle’ ‘.
The old rancher saw the puzzled look on the doctor’s face, so he continued to explain, ‘You know he didn’t get up there by himself, he doesn’t belong up there, and he doesn’t know what to do while he’s up there, and you just wonder what kind of dumbass put him up there to begin with.
How does something like this get paid for??
