The White M-3 halftrack of WWII had this type of “rubber band” track.

Thanks for the info. I liked the World War II German halftrack that had three or four rows of seats. I believe it was a prime mover for towed artillery.

The German equivalent was the SDKZ 251, mainstay of the Panzer Grenadier units. It had good sloped armor, but the track was complex and over-engineered, and unlike the M-3, the front axle was unpowered. The M-3 was larger and faster. SDKZ 251
