Again, is Blago some blithering maniac ready for a padded cell?
Of course not.
But one thing is clear: The pundits who make such diagnoses have never talked to a Chicago machine politician in their lives.
How do they think Chicago politicians talk in private when they're muscling some other guy for cash? Like Helen Mirren playing the queen?
Now, with federal investigators interviewing everyone in the case, it's time to assess the mental health of our political leaders.
The good news is that Obama isn't cuckoo either.
He was severely delusional, though, for a day, trying to avoid saying anything about Gov. Dead Meat. But he came to his senses and called upon Blagojevich to resign.
He bravely sent out a spokesman to declare, "Under the current circumstances, it is difficult for the governor to do his job and serve the people of Illinois."
Translation: Will no one rid us of this accursed madman?
Mayor Richard Daley of Chicago, the boss who runs the machine that he says doesn't exist, refused to take a position either way. That's because he's sane.
The governor isn't the only one in this mess. His chief of staff, John Harris, also was arrested. Before Harris worked for Dead Meat, he worked for Mayor Shortshanks at Chicago's political golden goose: O'Hare International Airport.
Blagojevich "has to figure out what's best for him and his family, and the State of Illinois," the mayor said. "He will have to do the right thing."
Ah, the right thing. When Harris spillsand he will, because he's not crazy eitherDaley doesn't want Harris to spill on him. He wants guys to do the "right thing," which, if I may translate, means to keep their traps shut.

He’s not crazy. He’s just a typical dirty Chicago politician.

They're expanding O'Hare to Elmhurst? LOL!
Nope. Blago went to work today, refusing to resign and happy go lucky, according to news reports. And why shouldn't he? He has the soon-to-be most important person in the world protecting him. After all, with what Blago knows, he has Obama by those nads the Revrund Jacksssun was so interested in.. If he goes down, Obama and god knows who else will go down with him.
That ain't gonna happen. That's why the powers running Obama made Fitzgerald shut down his "investigation" before he could develop evidence that would implicate Obama.
The Ohare expansion project is buying land in Elmhurst and Bensenville in order to complete the build out. This land is among the most expensive in the Chicago suburbs.
By contrast, the alternative proposal for a second airport in Will County, would have used land that cost a tenth of cost of what is available in Cook County.
The alternative proposal was killed by William Daley, Mayor Daley’s brother. The “fix” was in so now Illinois and Federal taxpayers have the privilege of paying 10 times what the cost should have been in order to grease the wheels of the Cook County Machine.
You must be confusing Elk Grove Village with Elmhurst.
“the alternative proposal for a second airport in Will County, would have used land that cost a tenth of cost of what is available in Cook County.”
The MOST VIABLE and LEAST EXPENSIVE option was expansion of the GARY Regional Airport, but Daley and his cronies couldn’t allow that because THEY wouldn’t get the skim...
<>i>Come on Fitz - have the guts to indict Obama, Emmanuel and Jesse Jr.
Small potatoes! Hizzoner is at the center of the web.
Neither proposal was given sufficient attention. I don’t know much about the Gary proposal but it was undoubtedly doomed from the start because it would not generate jobs and patronage in Cook County.
The Peotone airport proposal in Will County was particularly attractive because the plan called fro leveraging the intermodal transportation opportunities available near the site (truck and rail terminals). This airport would have handled freight traffic only rather than passenger traffic.
It was an excellent idea but politics killed it.
