Federal Sources: Fitzgerald Held Off Blagojevich Bust to Protect Obama Election Chances; Did Obama Fail Ethics Requirements of Illinois Bar?
A federal source of mine with ties to Chicago says that FBI agents had enough to prosecute corrupt, helmet-haired Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich back in June, when he was already engaged in some of the blackmail and extortion alleged by the FBI affidavit and other documents associated with his arrest and prosecution.
The source says that the FBI was suddenly ordered by the U.S. Attorney's Office--and I believe that order came from the top, ie., U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald and Justice Department officials in Washington--to hold off on doing anything until after the election, so as not to hurt Obama's White House bid. Here's what my inside source says.

Correct. Also, the big fish like Daley and Obama never do the talking. They send their underlings. Emmanuel and Axelrod probably were the go betweens with Blago. If Blago were a real Chicago pol, he never would have had any conversations about the quid pro quo. He would have had his “people” handle it. That’s the Chicago way...
Calling Captain Obvious! Many of us knew the timing of this arrest could have been a lot earlier, like before Nov.4th.
Obviously those involved in how this went down are protecting Zero. It could have cost him votes, duh!

If Obama knew of this prior to November and was approached for input on a sale he by rights as a member of the Senate should have turned this over to the FBI. If he knew this after the election, he as President Elect should have notified the FBI that he had been approached regarding a sale of the Illinois Senate Seat.
What I am reading is that all Obama did or said was the governor would receive appreciation.... APPRECIATION BUT NO PAYMENT FOR SELLING HIS SEAT. Appreciation in the form of what? A job or two for his wife? It appears explosive alright!
