I would bet my life and the lives of my children that President Bush and Dick Cheney were not responsible for the 9/11 Attacks.
How in the world can you even begin to say that the Obama birth certificate and resident status is a non-issue? Do you believe that he is an angel and that there is no way that the governement could overlook such an issue?
From the evidence presented, it would appear that BHO was born in Hawaii and that would without question make him a natural born citizen.
I have never said, wrote or thought anything positive about Obama except that he has two great looking kids. However, the bottom line is that he won the election and on Jan. 20th he will be sworn into office. And as an American that was born overseas, it upsets me that some would think that I am not a natural born citizen or that my niece and nephew who were born in Brazil are not Americans. My eldest daughter came within two weeks of my wife and I leaving Egypt and if we had stayed those two weeks there would be people here questioning her citizenship.
“From the evidence presented, it would appear that BHO was born in Hawaii and that would without question make him a natural born citizen.”
What evidence are you referring to and who “presented” it to you?
“From the evidence presented, it would appear that BHO was born in Hawaii and that would without question make him a natural born citizen.”
Could you please detail what that evidence is.
There is no question that it would make him a citizen, but there is no reason to conclude from that fact that it would make him a "natural born" citizen unless you buy into the canard that anyone with US citizenship by birth is "natural born".
The falsity of that notion is in front of me every day in the person of my son, Gerry, who is a US citizen by birth, but who is not "natural-born," by virtue of his birth in Jakarta, Indonesia. His citizenship derives from statute law enacted by Congress, and is NOT derived directly from the Constitution and natural law. That type of citizenship is reserved for children born in the United States to US citizen parents, unquestionably, and possibly to children born in the United States to a US citizen father without regard to the citizenship of the mother.
Neither of these would serve to cover Barack Obama whose father was admittedly a British Subject.
Mind you, I am not denying that Obama is a citizen: Congress made it so.
Not the Constitution.
Drama queen, no one is questioning citizenship. The issue is natural born citizen. Are all your posts characterized by some straw?
That is the specific point where I disagree with you - there is plenty of anecdotal evidence to the contrary, along with the credible analysis of the COLB done by Polarik. We are talking about the single most important job in the entire world, for which, perhaps, 2% of the people on the planet are qualified. As far as I'm concerned, as the actions of the POTUS affect everyone on the planet, at least potentially, thus giving 'standing' to the most ignorant and isolated Whopper Virgin on Earth. Anyone who wants to should have the opportunity to be credibly informed as to the unquestioned eligibility of the person assuming that office. It is bad enough that we have Obama where he is. We are entitled to know the truth so that we can take future action toward any appropriate remedy, even if he demonstrates irrefutable evidence of eligibility.
