The pornographic film actor known as Jack Venice has been sentenced to life in prison for raping a woman at a Washington State University sorority.
The actor, whose real name is Christopher Jack Reid, will be eligible for parole in nine years.
The Reid, 26, a native of Houston, was sentenced Friday in Whitman County Superior Court in Colfax, Wash. after he was convicted in October of second-degree rape and three burglary counts.
Reid told the court he is sorry for what happened to the victim but maintains his innocence.
His lawyer plans an appeal.
The victim told the court she is afraid of being attacked again and sleeps with the lights on.
Prosecutors say Reid and a WSU student got drunk and broke into several sororities in search of women to co-star in sex videos.

That's like the punchline at the end of the Dan Aykroyd version of "Dragnet."
There is a difference between breaking into sombody's home and forcibly raping them, and having an adult woman seduce an underage young man.
Both are wrong, but I think it fallacious to equate the two simply because the definition of "rape" is ever being expanded.
That being said, I don't know the full facts of this case, and it may or may not have happened as the accuser said it did.
Many schools (ie Brown University) treat any woman who’s had even one drink as unable to consent.
I think some feminists consider all sex between men and women to be rape.

The only time I...I mean, this I guy know, did break into a sorority house, I...I mean, HE was looking to steal some specific items of laundry...and there WAS beer involved!

Parole means he's not behind bars, but he's still not free. I don't know what conditions they'll place him under but I gather "no alcohol", random drug/alcohol testing, GPS anklet monitoring and the like will probably apply.
Maybe a prohibition on producing porn too.
