Dogs save man from angry elk

A pack of Norwegian elkhounds is credited with saving an elderly Swedish man from an angry elk.

The 75-year-old man was trying to shoo the elk from his yard in Gallivare in northern Sweden when it attacked him Saturday night, the Swedish news agency tt reported Sunday.

i dont understand.
its wester europe, your right he should have set down and negotiated with him

maybe do you think a nice letter of warning would have been a good first start of bridging that gap of trans spieces mis-communication

Strange, I had an Akita and he looked identical to that picture of the Elk Hound. Colors, tail and all.

Typically Elk (which in Norway and Europe means what we call "MOOSE") Deer, cattle and other heard animals will move if shooed, even if they weigh 1,000 lbs or more. Moose however are known to be stubborn....

An "Elk" in Norway:

Even 1500 lb. cattle bulls will move when shooed by a human--assuming there are cows around so they are happy.
