Cynthia McKinney’s Excellent Adventure
Pajamas Media ^ | January 1 | Ralph Alter

Green Party presidential candidate, truther, and world-class crackpot Cynthia McKinney was attracted to the media buzz surrounding the drama in Gaza like a Kennedy is drawn to an appointed Senate seat.

With the 60-foot yacht Dignity beneath her, the voluble Ms. McKinney accompanied a gaggle of Palestinian apologists and international members of the tin-foil hat-wearing, busy-body brigade on what was characterized in the compliant media as a “humanitarian mission.” As is so often the case with the confrontational American politician, her interests collided — this time with a vessel from the Israeli navy.

Passengers on board the Dignity claimed that the Israeli patrol boat rammed their vessel, but Israel said the two boats collided as the Israeli navy was trying to contact its captain...

The Voyage of the Dignity

Just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip,
That started from this Cypress port, aboard this tiny ship.
The mate was a mighty sailin’ man,
the Skipper brave and sure.
Five passengers set sail that day for a three hour tour.
A three hour tour.

Which raises the age-old question: Cynthia McKinney or Helen Thomas?

I doubt that she knew the full impact of showing up on this vessel. She’s funded by these guys as a mouth-piece in the US and probably pulls in $50k a year for services. But its hard to imagine that she grasps what kind of trouble she is asking for.

I'm not sure I want to know what the question is.

Not only that, she's a coward. When I lived in Atlanta, she was my “representative.” Very infrequently, she held meetings with constituents. She would meet with people privately, but would not stand in front of a crowd and answer questions.

The canonical question is: “Ginger or Mary Ann?”.

Had there been Helen and Cynthia on Gilligan’s Island, instead of Ginger and Mary Ann, the Professor would have fixed the boat in about 60 seconds.

I couldn't disagree more. Had there been Helen and Cynthia on the boat instead of Ginger and Mary Ann, the Professor never would have set foot on board.
