FTA:

“We want to be constructive, not obstructive,” said a top Senate GOP aide. “But we will defend our positions to the fullest extent possible.”

"Bipartisan" is code for bending over for globalist, leftist Democrats.

"...they need to work together for the good of the country [or the success of Barack Obama."

WHICH IS IT?

It can't be both.

We've heard the same crap after every election for as long as I can remember. I don't want any elephants to "reach across the aisle" unless they intend to choke the donkeys.

Just like they did with Bush, right? And then we were at war, a war that the Democrats voted for no less. Didn't even slow them down, in fact they sped it up, heaped on the criticism, Democrats trashed the USA anyway they could .. so I say BS to this.

C’mon Mitch, grow some cojones. Are you going to just stand there and let nObama and his goons dismantle our country?

I want to hear you say you’re gonna fight like Hell against every socialist/Marxist idea/plan/scheme/legislation he proposes.

You want some help? Fine, start with his $1,000,000,000,000 plan to bankrupt our country’s future with a “stimulus package” that is doomed even before it becomes law.

Translation: McConnell’s testicles are in Reid’s lockbox.

Lott, Frist, McConnell—have we any other losers waiting in the wings?

It would be funny if the fate of the country wasn’t hanging in the balance.

Let us not go knee jerk before the real work starts. I doubt very much that McConnel and most Republicans want Obama socialist and left wing agenda to succeed.

Before I clicked on this thread I knew from the title that it was a Politico piece. These guys at the politico have perfected the art of writing their articles to divide and conquer the Republican base in particular the internet political junkies on the conservative side. They enjoy very much the conservative blogosphere attacking the Republicans on each turn and many on our side are making Politico work an easy job.

Then why did McConnell and so many Republicans vote to pass HR 1424, the financial services bailout bill?

“Unity” sucks when the bad guys get THEIR way everytime. I say we have the same kind of “unity” that we’ve enjoyed for the past 8 years. THERE ARE TWO AMERICAS. There is us and there is them. Barack the Kenyan is not “magic” in my eyes. He’s just another crooked Chicago politician. McConnell needs to figure that out.
