In the old days fuel-air bombs were called napalm. Nobody produces it any more. Something about it being a “no-no” weapon. And that was just the US position.
Screw this politically correct nonsense. Napalm is the perfect weapon to take out bunkers and Hezbollah’s positions in southern Lebanon. Saves using a lot of bombs and ground troops. Covers a lot of ground, and is cheap. It might be the Saturday Night Special of warfare, but damn it, it works well.
Called “crispy critter time” in Nam. Not too many VC left around to testify as to how effective it was against them. One Marine I knew told about a napalm strike on a North Vietnamese company. Apparently nobody survived. A tear!
Kill the bastards and let the buzzards have a feast.
Actually fuel-air explosives are something entirely different from Napalm. Napalm makes hellfire. FAE’s make earth-shattering kabooms. (See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuel-Air_Explosive )
I have no objections to the Israelis using either one, or both.
