I suppose it is stating the obvious, but McCain doesn’t subscribe to the Republican ideals and message, and I’m not sure that he even knows what they are.

I did the same thing. I will NOT help him in another election or in anything else.
I didn't realize he was still serving a Senate term...say it ain't so!
Never been a McCain fan, although I had to vote for him last Fall...and he had a few moments when he wasn't the worst. If he wants to raise money for a new "Country First" PAC, then fine and good?
Proviso: he retires gracefully, whenever, and just runs the PAC! Also, he can give speeches as long as he never says "my friends" or "maverick", and good luck to him and us. I could never vote for him again, ever, for anything.
Disgusting to see Biden getting sworn in yesterday for his next six-year Senate term, which he will promptly vacate, leaving it open for some "appointee"...way to go, "democracy"! I can only presume there will be a special election shortly?

Who said "mendacity"?? My "literary classics" escape me at the moment, but give me a real "straight talker" anytime! Methinks McCain's not one. Maybe Giuliani's not either, although he comes closer to it IMHO, and in any case, I'm sick of "caveat emptor" (sic) all the way around!
