JERUSALEM (CNN) -- The Hamas commander in charge of launching rockets into Israel from the Gaza City area was killed Saturday by Israeli ground fire, the Israel Defense Forces said in a statement.

Smoke billows from buildings in Gaza on Saturday as seen from the Israel-Gaza border.

Amir Mansi was also the leading Hamas authority on the Grad long-range missile-launching system, the IDF said.

Meanwhile, two pair of Israeli F-16 fighter jets violated Egyptian airspace Saturday evening, a CNN team observed.

"We can tell they're coming through Egyptian airspace because they're over the far side of the building where we're standing," CNN's Karl Penhaul reported from Rafah, Egypt. He was atop a building about 500 meters (547 yards) from the Gaza border.

Too bad. Deal with it. Israel has been dealing with your terrorist cousins violating their airspace with missiles and bombs for 60 years now.

Friggin crybabies.

"A senior IDF officer estimated Saturday that roughly 300 Hamas men
have been killed since the army launched its ground incursion in the Gaza Strip.
The military official said IDF troops were able to wipe out whole battalions
belonging to the Gaza terror group.

"Hundreds of people were killed in the various combat sectors,"
the officer said. "Some Hamas companies and battalions were simply wiped out.
We also see cases of desertions and unauthorized leaves,
while some terror activists are scared to undertake moves that
would jeopardize them vis-à-vis IDF troops."

"Earlier Saturday, the IDF killed Hamas' rocket chief in the
Gaza City area, Amir Mansi. The senior officer said that shortly
before his death Mansi clashed with his subordinates,
who refused to come out of their hideouts.
The rocket chief was left with no choice but to launch mortar
shells himself, and was killed after being identified by the army. "

” a CNN team observed.

“We can tell they’re coming through Egyptian airspace because they’re over the far side of the building where we’re standing,” CNN’s Karl Penhaul reported from Rafah, Egypt. “

Egypt did not generate this news, CNN-Jazeera created the news they are nothing less than terrorist sympathizers.

You know, I wish that if they KNOW the have killed a HVT, they would keep that information on a “need to know” basis instead of telling the press.

The reason for the secrecy is that if you DID take out a HVT, then the press will use that fact as a stick to beat Israel with to get them to quit the battle and “stop killing innocent civilians!”

Egypt did not generate this news,

I never suggested that they did.

CNN-Jazeera created the news they are nothing less than terrorist sympathizers.

My point exactly.

Thx!

I didnt say you suggested it, I was just pointing out to other readers that CNN generated this anti-Israeli piece it was not an official complaint by Egypt.
