Surely, he'll be looking in a mirror, won't he?
zerO wouldnt be the first despot in history to divert people’s attention from their misery and his regime’s excesses and failures- by staging spectacles of blood sport.
Washington is ripe for a good ol’ fashioned inquisition.
But Cheney’s heart might give out before they can try and convict him, unless they move quick. Plus it ought to be good for creating a few new jobs, like popcorn sellers
He has been hinting for months that he won’t go after anyone. Back in March 2008, he might have made a comment or two...just like this occasion but to start this mess...and turn congress loose to run off in various directions (as you’d expect)...he’ll lose media focus. Imagine the Sunday chat shows...who he’d like to have focused on his programs...and they are discussing the Bush period. He’d end up with democrats in congress asking what the focus is...and not able to explain anything.
You first, Barry O.
He must be above the law. He has not been forced to prove his citizenship.
Welcome to New Kenya!
"Where the law of the jungle has replaced the Law of the Land"
Talk about pardons. Right after he is sworn in, the first thing obamahitler is going to do is grant a full pardon to ALL people that could be indicted for crimes against the government including himself. Ya ain’t seen notten yet. That’s just the beginning.
Welll, he’s got to keep the focus off Himself...
There is no question that Obama won the election but I am beginning to feel that he thinks he has more of a “mandate” than he does. 53% to 46% is a good solid win but it was not a 10 point blowout! 46% still voted against him!
I wonder if Obama is underestimating the growing anger in the far right, a growing anger which could grow more radical if he goes after members of the Bush administration? He doesn’t need this and it could eventually undermine what he hopes accomplish as well as set up the far right for some victories in 2010.
Barry O., be careful what you wish for!
We’re going to get hit again and there’s no doubt who will be responsible.
He has announced big plans to gut the measures Bush put into place after 9/11 that have worked very well in keeping us safe, like listening in on terrorist phone calls.
After the changes are in place, and the inevitable attack happens as a result, there will be millions of enraged Americans who won't be concerned about how the Bush administration "tortured" terrorists.
Obama might wisely think about leaving well enough alone. He is in the process of creating too many serious problems for himself that he's going to have to worry about without prosecuting people for "war crimes"- people who successfully prevented another attack on this country.
He says crap like this, but won’t say anything about Gaza. What an ass.
Indeed, you are correct. And let’s not forget what he might get into these next four years.
Also, if, say, another 9-11 attack happens and it is shown his weak and ineffective policies opened the door for the terrorists to operate in the United States and commit mass murder, boy-howdy, he would be in deep trouble then.
This driveling idiot had better get through his head. What goes around comes around.
Maddening as this kind of nonsense is, it’s just a bone thrown to his moonbat followers. He’d be nuts to actually open this can of worms.
I wonder what their other rules of engagement are? What is their exit strategy? Do they intend to exit . . . .
are you trying to make me puke this morning?
“Were going to get hit again and theres no doubt who will be responsible.”
Obama, and other bleeding heart Dems, will be held accountable.
[prosecution of Bush]
Make that persecution.
