MINNEAPOLIS – Temperatures crashed to Arctic levels Tuesday as a severe cold wave rolled across the upper Midwest on the heels of yet another snowstorm, closing schools and making most people think twice before going outside. Early Wednesday, the cold front swept into New York, sending temperatures falling from the 30s a day before to single digits or below zero. It hit 8 below in Massena, on the St. Lawrence River in northern New York, with the wind chill making it feel like minus 25 degrees.

Pardon my French, but if Al Gore were in front of me now, I’d be shoving him outside into the cold and kicking his ASS!!

And toss him a shovel and tell him to start clearing all his globull warming off my driveway.

It’s absolutely Bush’s fault that he doesn’t loudly denounce this AGW bull$hit for the socialist farce that it is. Where is the moron in chief on this issue. He’s sorta kinda on both sides like always, sheesh what a maroon.

one thing I’ve wondering about this mass of cold air - is that it hovered over Alaska - obviously for quite some time.

How are those glaciers holding up this year anyway?

Any news on whether they have managed to keep disappearing during 78 below weather?

“It’s +14 degrees here in Massachusetts at 9:05 AM.”

That’s going to feel downright balmy compared to what’s coming.

Yes, it's because of “Carbon emissions” you know.....

The Climate has become so “messed up” that it is super cold and super hot and super wet and super dry and record breaking weather every where.

Of course, they are hand picking their statistics and the periods they monitor to claim these record breaking events. Which is the Leftist rule of the end justifying the means.

The “Weather” Channel is using a 10 year model for all their “record breaking” data. And I'm sure that 1100 years ago, during the Medieval Warming period they had no clue what a thermometer was, or during the Little Ice Age; That they certainly would not point those facts out to the ignorant public.

Grand Forks has frequently had much colder temps than that. I have seen below 40 several times. 1996 was one of those times.

They mislead the ignorant masses. What they are saying is, that this is the coldest that it has been on this particular date (Jan. 14) compared to other past days on this date. (Over the last 70 years since they established NOAA)

But the Libs want you to think that this is the coldest it has ever been in all of history. And the stupid Lemmings believe it and are too stupid to think for themselves or call them on their lies or hold them accountable for their dishonesty.

Wouldn't it be great to hear just one resident on the local six o'clock news clamor, plead for Global Warming? Or are we all Minnesotans now?

Up until the last few days it has been absurdly warm in NC for this time of year. Even been out in a T-shirt. Made me think that this global warming thing wouldn’t be so bad afterall. Certaintly better than the teens and twenties it’ll be this week.

I was born in Minnesota, went to Alaska in ‘79 and lived there till ‘99 and worked and lived 400 miles North of the Arctic Circle.

Now, I am back in Minnesota were it is comfortably warm in the winters. -30 is nothing. In fact, I have a hard time telling the difference between -10 and -60. Because the wind usually stops blowing when the air becomes that dense.

The body has a protective layer that helps protect the skin, provided there is no wind. (extremities excluded) I have seen 40 mile per hour winds with an ambient temp. of -40 which sends the chill factor to -125. This is rare and usually only happens above the Arctic Circle. Needless to say, that when it does, one had better find a nice warm place out of the wind, really fast.
