The Obamanation Inauguration occurs at 8 p.m. our time. I think I'll either watch Team America again (it's been a few months) or hang out with some other people who will also be avoiding that giant Obamagasm. Believe me, there are plenty of us. Oh...and a bunch of us are wearing all black to work tomorrow.

I dumped TV in April of 1997. I won’t be watching the inauguration.

Heck, the first time I heard Obama’s voice was in the summer of 2008. I haven’t got time to fiddle with all the baloney of the inauguration. If, after the fact, something is discovered to be important (like an assassination attempt, failed or otherwise) I can always turn to c-span or youtube later. If he says anything remarkable I can always read the transcript.

The only reason I would watch the inauguration ranks up there with the reason I would watch a figure 8 race. And it aint about who crosses the finish line first.

That's the biggest issue of all. I hope a lot of people show up in D.C. Thursday, where some attendees are expecting to be tear gassed. And BTW, I'm gonna write and complain to Yahoo that they removed this thread.

Sounds good to me. After being marched to my elementary school cafeteria on Jan. 20, 1953- to watch the first Eisenhower inauguration, a political junkie was born. Now, after all these years, the nation has provided me an antidote for this addiction. His name is Barrack Hussein Obama.

Anything that this Con Artist-In-Chief has to say will be filtered through the likes of FR etc.. I will, of course, make an exception in the event he is forced to eat crow before the cameras.

I heard that Rush is going to carry it so he can meter out the significant points as relevant to current events and I can avoid the real time experience of this nightmare.

I watched both Bush and Clinton's first inaugural. If Kerry had been elected in 2004, I would have tuned in too, just to see what he had to say.
