Limbaugh Slams Obama: Says New Prez is Not a 'Unifier'
The New York Post ^ | Posted: 12:31 pm | Clemente Lisi

Conservative radio king Rush Limbaugh shot back at President Obama this afternoon - saying the new commander-in-chief is "not a unifier and not bipartisan" and is "more frightened of me" than he should be of Republican leaders.

"I think [Obama] wants me to fail," Limbaugh said on his show, rebutting Obamas' comments Friday that GOP lawmakers should not be listening to the right-wing talk show host.

Prez Zings GOP Foe in Stimulating Talk

Limbaugh Fires Back

Obama had warned Republicans on Capitol Hill Friday that they need to quit listening to Limbaugh if they want to get along with Democrats and the new administration.

"You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done," he told top GOP leaders, whom he had invited to the White House to discuss his $825 billion stimulus package.

The conservative blowhard opened his show by saying, "I'm the man you should not be listening, according to President Obama."

Republicans have said that the price tag is too big a burden for a nation crippled by debt and that it doesn't do enough to stimulate the economy by cutting taxes.

"You know, I'm concerned about the size of the package. And I'm concerned about some of the spending that's in there," House GOP Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) said after the Friday meeting. "How does that stimulate the economy?"

Limbaugh also said Obama is more than happy to "see me fail."

"He's more frightened of me than he is of John Boehner, which doesn't say much for our party," said Limbaugh.

He then said Obama's comments didn't matter, arguing that the president is "sprinting so far to the left" during his first week in office.

"The Republicans haven't been listening to me, anyway," Limbaugh said. "It's a moot point."

I am afraid the Messiah is going down faster than we thought (or wish). The Messiah did not even knew or read the Executive Orders he was signing? After all, he was only a community organizer...

“Why is Limbaugh the only one standing up to Urkel?”

That is too funny. I never noticed the similarities between President Obama and the character “Urkel” before.

I hope that monicker sticks.

Barney Frank was concerned about the size off the package, too...what? Oh, never mind. He was talking about some thing else.

From a Saturday thread -

"Anti-Obama Lefties Listening to Rush (Really? Yes.)

16 of 28 BossLady to Steely Tom

Exactly! I was thinking the same!

He is using Alinsky rule #11...however forgot about Rule #5 in the process -

Rule 5: Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It’s hard to counterattack ridicule, and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage

Also.....BO is a victim of #2 - we are seeing shades of that already -

Rule 2: Never go outside the experience of your people. The result is confusion, fear, and retreat.

BO cannot even stick successfully to his own playbook! He would make a crappy quarterback....LOL! ;)"

You mean McCain's idea of buying all bad mortgages to the tune of 350 billion and Obama immediately took him on and said that was a bad idea?

Now Obama's team is considering a bad debt bank where they buy up all bad debt.....that kind of communism or that kind of manipulating lying evil Obama does well?

The origin of the slinky is the manufacture of steel piston rings. the coil was cut evenly to produce countless perfectly uniform rings used in the construction of engines. My father was shop foreman for American Hammer Piston company during WWII. We played with these proto slinkies as children.

Yep, that's how a lot of 'toys' started out, as industrial components which were found to be 'fun' to play with ...ie: Pinball (a ball bearing

In the mid 80's I was working for an industrial component distributor as an order clerk ... all of a sudden we started to get orders for large quantities of rubber O-Rings, particularly in sizes 3-4" inside diameter. Turns out that singer Madonna had started a fashion craze by wearing O-Rings as bracelets. Those orders were coming from entrepreneurial jobbers seeking to cash in on the latest fashion fad

They are not supposed to be...this is supposed to be a two party system...us and the melonheads across the aisle...

Shouldn't the US in our party be standing up screaming about Obama's actions and saying it ain't gonna happen? I heard McCain, Boehner and a couple speak up about the stimulus. But they said only if they get a few changes will they vote for it. TURN the sucker down completely and speak up for the people who are saying we will come out of this without government intervention. BACK OFF NAZI!

Obama supporters are like, "yeah, get more and throw me a bone. I don't care about the national debt. I won't be around to pay it off they crow."

I figured out Obama's plan just today. Obama will slowly dole out the money in the next 4 years. Not all at once because then he might have to act like a real president after the money is gone and work within a budget. Obama will be like Santa Claus fixing all the ills of every state, fixing a health care registry so he knows everyone who AIDS, STD's, too many babies so he can see what cutbacks and guidelines are in order to create nazi healthcare for all. Hillary will be found with FBI and Health registry records of Carter, Palin and Pelosi in her bedroom. Oh my, how did those get in here?

Obama never wants to have to refuse anything or cut back any funding like Bush did so he will use it as his personal bank to fund his socialist takeovers. Everyone will be happy until they find out the trillion is more like 8 trillion in the end. Pelosi, Fwank and Waters will say, there is no problem with the stimulus. We do not have to fix something that is not broken. Fwank will leave with his stimulus czar lover and say, I will protect ewe!

Wasn’t that when Fwank told carmakers to make back seats bigger? Then he said something about packages don’t fit?

Actually, Rush used his radio show during the primaries to encourage Republicans to cross over and vote for Obama, because he and many others on the Right thought O would be easier to beat in the general election. The Right's pathological fear and hatred of Hillary Clinton, along with it's equally pathological inability to rally around a genuinely competitive Republican candidate contributed to Obama's election. These were not the only reasons O won, but they contributed greatly to his win.

What election did Rush advocate voting for Bama? Hillary was the one Rush championed called it 'operation chaos'.

The conservative blowhard...

This description from a Rupert Murdoch employee from the the supposedly "conservative" New York Post.

Murdoch, during the early Clinton era, possibly could merit the description "conservative." No more! He has been selling out for more than a decade!

Actually I timed the first hour of Rush, and found myself listening to 25 minutes of ads and 35 minutes of Rush.I was hoping that he would be more fired up and brought up the only thing on everybody’s mind, which is the ever ongoing struggle to see our president’s birth certificate, passport before 2007,his education records, and his medical records.Sorry Rush, but if you are the voice of conservatives,i’m still waiting.

——”By today’s standards, Kennedy was not very far “left” at all.”

Yes indeed. I urge all of you to ask your Libbie friends how they think JFK would have responded to 9/11 and they would have to answer “very much the way GWB did!”

JFK was one of the last strong-on-defense” Democrats and is the “gold standard” for Liberals.

Yet they skewered Bush for essentially having a JFK style approach to the war on terror. They would hate to admit this, but it’s true.

You really should listen to Rush for more than just the first hour...approx 2 weeks ago he did a couple of segments about listeners like you...(sort of like hit and run listeners) and I’m not going to take the time or make an effort to explain it to you because I don’t think it would do any good anyway...I will say he’s already gone over, on more than one occasion, all the reasons why he wasn’t/isn’t discussing Obama’s birth certificate, passport, education records and medical reports...if you don’t listen, don’t complain.

"(his audience is conservative, so he is conservative.)"

Nothing could be further from the truth. Admittedly, there are a lot of phony "Conservative" talk-show hosts because on the radio, Conservative sells, but Rush talks about his Conservative roots going back to high school. I'm sure you didn't hear it because you're a Conservative and thus have a job, making you unavailable to listen from 12-3:00 eastern.

Oh, I see. In your world, people are supposed to divine with total precision how you want them to express themselves. Then, and only then, will you deign to consider the point(s) they want to make. Well you know what? I can live quite happily without the approval of someone I don't know -- someone I don't give a flying *uck about.
