all of them?!

That would be absolutely dreamy. I'd be tempted to lay a big sloppy one on Olympia if she voted against the Pork bill.

Republican senators vow to resist Obama stimulus plan

They BETTER 'resist' voting for the Porkulus Maximus Plan, or I'll DAMN sure 'resist' voting for their sorry backsides next time the elections roll around!

somehow olympia snow, arlen specture, and the chief of the three ring doofus act John McCain hardly inspire ANY confidence.

remember when mccain suspended his campaign to rush to DC and protect the voters interests. He voted for that fiasco.

McCain has a “fool me twice” redemption moment.

remember the senate bill is BIGGER than the house bill.

On second thought, it would be really cool if they could help this bill to fail or keep it bottled up. Obama and his toadies are due for a big takedown.

"do they have enough Senators who are willing to filibuster....I mean with McCain, Snowe, Collins et al"???

I think the bigger questions is how some of THESE Senators will vote with ZERO GOP cover:Alaska - Mark Begich (D)

Colorado - Mark Udall (D)

North Carolina - Kay Hagan (D)

Virginia - Mark Warner (D)

Montana - Max Baucus, D

Montana - Jon Tester, D

South Dakota - Tim Johnson D

Arkansas - Mark Pryor D

And ther are OTHER Dims who come from mostly "conservative" states that won't be at all comfortable with this SAN FRANCISCO WINGNUT LIBERAL bill.

You can BET that this will fracture the dims, not the GOP.

It will be a COLOSSAL defeat for the new president. Yeah, when a bill is finally passed, they'll give him all the credit...but it'll be a "conservative" bill with over 1/2 the money going to tax cuts and infrastructure...or no bill at all.

A week-long charm offensive by Obama failed to win over even a single Republican...

Charm? That's not what I would call his comment, "I won", assuming that would be enough to end the debate.

This bill should not be modified and passed. It should die. Put a stake through it’s chest, stomp on it, and bury it for all time.

Excellent point. That was the problem with the first stimulus bill ("Porkulus One"). In my opinion, we could have won MANY seats is Congress if the bill had died, but sure enough, more pork was added and the Republicans stepped right in it!
