As a state that has been ceded for a long time, that’s nice to know.

One of the first things he will need to work on is getting the early primary states in line though.

Pardon me for not joining you in congratulating this moderate (yes, that is a slur to me). It should have been Dawson, or even Duncan.

To quote Michael Steele — THIS IS AWESOME!

Had two favorites going in Ken Blackwell or Michael Steele. Now hope that Blackwell takes over GOPAC. I am so happy they didn’t elect someone from the RNC like a State Chair and instead went to someone who held office and had run campaigns.

My monthly contribution will start back up at the RNC that I cancelled with Martinez and then Duncan.

It would have been the nail in the coffin of the RNC if Duncan was chosen,

I am glad for Steele.

Drill, baby drill.

Yes. Now let’s fight to make this party great by standing by clearly defined conservative ideals and principles and market daily how these ideals and principles will result in a vision of future great America.

We're not starting off on the right foot for 2012 with this pro-affirmative action, anti-Second Amendment politician as our choice to lead the RNC.

“He’s more black than Obammy.”

Yet, when he was running for office people were throwing Oreos on the stage. Mike Steel was “black on the outside and white on the inside”. How’s that for playing the race card and nary a peep from the media.

The ‘he isn’t in line with me 110%!’ crap is how we ended up with John McLame.

I couldn't disagree more. I think we ended up with McCain as our candidate because we have been entirely too tolerant of liberals in the Republican Party. McCain never should have even been in the running. I don't ask that a candidate be 100% in line with my conservative values, but 50% or 75% would be nice once in a while, instead of the 25% that we get from RINOs. Hell, at this point, I'd almost be happy if we could get some Republicans who won't talk trash about conservatives on national TV.

Your argument is that demanding more conservatism got us a more liberal candidate. I'm sure you can see the flaw in that argument fairly easily.

Pro-affirmative racism, pro-Roe V Wade, anti-RKBA...

Let's hope he only took a few of those stances to get elected in MD.

I have a question , in four years can Obama be voted out of office by his own party if they want to ,

He’d better step up to the plate and not pull his punches. I want both barrels blazing at the socialist-rat party.

Fat chance of that happening.

This is a moderate pick to persuade the voters in 2 years that the party has moved closer to 0bama.

The guy is squishy soft on abortion, favors affirmitive action and is ambiguous on assault weapons.

Conservatism in the Republican Party is dead. This just affirms it...

“We’re not starting off on the right foot for 2012 with this pro-affirmative action, anti-Second Amendment politician as our choice to lead the RNC.”

This is the same rhetoric that gave us John McCain and BHO.
