Attn FReepers: Defeat Porkulus!! Call/email your senators NOW!!
Click here to contact your senators! ^ | February 6, 2009 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 02/06/2009 12:16:08 PM PST by Jim Robinson

I've tried both Boxer and Feinstein, but get nothing but busy signals or "mail box full" messages. That's a good sign. That means citizens are burning down their switchboards. But they also have forms on their websites to send messages. Click the link above to contact your senators.

Here is the message I sent to both of my senators:

Please vote no on the pork package. If you want to stimulate the economy, stimulate business investment and hiring and give people more money to spend NOW, cut the taxes. Cut business and investment taxes. Cut the payroll tax. Cut the personal income tax. Don't burden us or our children with trillions of dollars in crippling new debt. You cannot tax, borrow and spend your way into prosperity. The Chinese are going to eat your lunch! Scratch that. They've already eaten your lunch. They're now eating your home!

Regards,

Jim Robinson

I heard on FOX news that Feinstein is actually considering voting no. Now is the time to call. Put the pressure on and keep it on! The people do not want this trillion dollar boondoggle! Time for the senate to get a taste of the wrath of the people!!

Don't burden us or our children with trillions of dollars

Our children? What put this in perspective for me -- and I wish I remembered who said this -- if you were alive when Jesus was born and someone gave you all this bailout money, and you spent one million dollars a day you still would not have spent all of this money.

We aren't talking about just our children, but their children and their children and their children, and etc. etc.

Just E-mailed Durbin, Burris and Foster in the house. It wont do any good as all three are liberals but at least my opposition was registered. They are claiming that they have the three republican votes to pass this. Those republicans need to be trounced out of office in retaliation.

Closed with ‘the country didn’t vote to continue with four more years of failed, big deficit, big government spending.’

Since Warner and Webb are dimowits, logic won’t work so the only hope is to try to confuse them.

Same here, only Feinstein and Boxer. I did call all of their local offices and email each of them. I have been targeting the so called moderates. Even though it sounds like a done deal I plan to keep calling until the deed is done.

http://snowe.senate.gov/ You need to her site and on the left hand side there is list click on "Contact Senator Snowe" a list will pop up to the right click on Email and fill in the form. This hag says she want this and posted the following on her website:

February 6, 2009

Washington, D.C. -

Senator Olympia J. Snowe (R-Maine), a senior Finance Committee member, is working with Senate and committee leadership to adjust the tax provisions in the economic stimulus legislation in order to garner enough support to pass a compromise in the Senate.  Leadership is also working with the Appropriations Committee to strip an additional $63 billion from the package for total reductions nearing the $100 billion figure Senator Snowe raised in a private one-on-one meeting in the Oval Office with President Obama Wednesday afternoon.  Snowe discussed her concerns with Majority Leader Harry Reid this morning and made it clear the package needs work before it can be approved.

"I was approached this morning and asked to work directly with leadership to amend the tax section of the stimulus bill in order to develop compromise language that could pass the Senate," Senator Snowe said. "The total reductions sought by leadership will closely resemble the amount I recommended to the President during our meeting on Wednesday. This is a critical time for our nation. Our economy shed another 598,000 jobs last month - the most since 1974 - propelling the national unemployment rate to 7.6 percent.  Until we deliver to the American people an economic stimulus package that spurs significant job creation and helps those most affected during these trying economic times, I will continue to work, as I have for months, with leadership and the Administration."

Told them both that we aleady pay 50% of our income in taxes of one sort or another, don’t make it worse on this bill when it won’t stimulate anything except Democrat payoffs.

LOL! And I don't EVEN have a grandaughter yet. Katie bar the door if that happens! I'd love to drop out and give up, but those three little fellers I mentioned earlier keep me in the fight. I won't give up on them until the good Lord says it's time. That would be about my last breath or so.
