WASHINGTON -- Sen. Edward Kennedy, battling brain cancer, is in Florida and will miss the final Senate vote on the economic stimulus package.

The Swimmer would make this vote if he were physically able. Read he barforama which is the rest of the article to see how much AP and the rest of his staff are doing to cover for his rapidly deteriorating, terminal condition.
It's also time for more pressure on Specter and Snowe, since all we need is for one of them to move to the pro-American side to kill the Porkulus.

Considering they removed the housing credit, there is no stimulus left in the bill.....they removed the most important provision and kept all the pork.

Is the housing credit out in its entirety?
I thought the $15k credit was excessive, but believed they would keep at least half of it.

OK Now we only need to turn one of the three RINOs. Throw in that Obama is out of town and can't call people to the White House to brow beat them. Stopping this 800 billion dollar disaster just went from hopeless to possible. Not likely, but at least worth a try.

For the Swimmer not to jump at the opportunity to damage the USA by voting in the Senate, must mean that Mary Joe’s murderer must be on death’s doorstep.

At this point, it doesn’t matter. We needed those 3 RINOs to hold the line on NO Cloture...once it went to cloture, there was no stopping it. I think now, it needs only a simple majority to pass. Somebody please correct me if I don’t have my facts right.
