Senate Republicans Standing Tall! (California Senate)
FlashReport ^ | Feb 15, 2009 | Jon Fleischman - Publisher

Posted on 02/15/2009 6:25:50 PM PST by BAW

This morning, treating the members of the California State Legislature like they are criminals, the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the Assembly literally have the Capitol on "lock down" -- no legislators are allowed to leave the building. Why is this?

EARLIER THIS MORNING, SENATOR DAVE COX ANNOUNCED THAT HE WILL NOT SUPPORT THE BIG-5, BIG-TAXES BUDGET PROPOSAL. COX HAS JOINED WITH TWELVE OF HIS SENATE REPUBLICAN COLLEAGUES AND BECAUSE THERE IS A VACANCY IN THE SENATE, THERE ARE NO LONGER THE VOTES TO GET A TWO-THIRDS FOR THE MASSIVE, RECORD-BREAKING $14 BILLION++ IN NEW TAXES.

Our message to Senate Republicans is loud and clear: THANK YOU AND KEEP HOLDING THE LINE.

Millions of California families that the Democrats would punish because of Democrat over-spending, slapping families with a projected annual tax increase of over $1200 a year (some say it's over $1500 a year) are COUNTING ON YOU.

It’s funny how fast a big state can go in the toilet once they decide to take on Mexico’s poverty problem.

Please. California's problem is not Mexicans. Califonia's problem is Californians.

We need the Pubbies in DC to do the same before it’s too late... and start by ousting Specter, Collins and Snowe from the GOP.

The so-called "fiscal conservative" GOP leaders sought to ram through a $14 billion tax increase upon Joe Six Pack while voting for obscene tax breaks for Hollywood millionaires. Its time to vote them out of office in 2010 for breaking their "no new taxes" pledge!

I find it rather amusing that the Rats in Sacramento want to give all these Hollywood Multi-Millionaires and Studios all this Corporate Welfare. I mean after all THEy ALL OWN PRIVATE JETS, warner bros has 4 gulfstreams, geffen, speilberg, katzenberg, NBC,ABC,CBS,... Paramount,Sony. most of them are at Burbank some at Van Nuys and some at Santa Monica. We just watched on TV that Having a Corporate Jet is BAD if you want Government cash.

It’s a wonder that certain Government politicians can even criticize CEO’s with a straight face. Waste money? Use jets on someone else’s dime? The Porkulus these bastards passed, and the coming Porkuli will dwarf by many factors any possible unwise spending by corporations.
